Hippity Hopping with { Ippity}

A Card and a Project!!

Last week I got all the new kits in the mail from my sweet friend Bonnie Rose. She is a wonderful and very inspiring person and I am glad that I got to know her the last year on the Unity Forum and kept in touch with her through FB. You have to check out her sales.. and she as great incentives as well. Well back to the story of my project.. I got all my goodies and I was so excited to play with them.. it all came in this great cardboard square shaped box. Well I just couldn't throw this away and had to make my Ippity Storage out of it. I got to use my Regal Greetings stamp set for this, my favourite image the chandelier. I first cut the box lid off and shaped the top of my box with my scissors, Stamped the image on all sides and then sponged some light green distressing ink on top just for some added colour, a little aged look. I then punched out some border with my fiskars punch and made a skirt for the bottom, I wanted it to slide on my counter so going to my hubby's tool box I found some old cupboard door knobs and screwed them to the bottom of all the sides this way it will move smoothly on my counter, and the skirt hides the knobs. I add the flower and some bling and with my dymo label maker made some labels for the outside and the files inside as well. For the file folders I got this idea from Bonnie as well and cut my folders in half and then in half again.. all the images from my sets fit on one half sheet.. and you can fit 2 sets on one file.. it is amazing storage and I thank her for this!! Brilliant!! Now I have lots of room in there for at least 2 more seasons of Ippity stamps, they are easy to reach and everything is labeled and easy enough to find. Amazing what you can do with what you have , and I love to recycle!!

But first this is the card I made for the challenge from last Monday.. Boys Birthday Card, I wanted to do something different and did the background just in black and white.. then paper pieced the fish and coloured them in for that touch of colour. I just love this set.. never thought I would love fish so much but it is wonderful that you get all the background stamps. I was so amazed at how large all the Ippity stamps are it is a wonderful thing!!

Have a FINTASTIC birthday

Ippity Stamps... storage unit.

Now go and check out the Ippity Blog for all the wonderful participants this sunny Monday, they have a challenge up for this week and a list of the Design Team and Friends.. Hope you all have a great Hip Hopping Ippity Day!!
Hugs,
Angie

Lovely card and what a great idea to recycle the box to house your Ippity stamps. I too laminate a sheet and place my Ippity stamps on it. Makes it so much easier to play with.
