Growing In Unity ..Day 5 FWF

It's Friday.. Friends With Flair.. and my last day of Growing In Unity!!
I have loved sharing all the new things that I do with Unity/ Ippity Stamps this week and can't wait to show you more as I do it again the end of December!!
Now if you want to do Growing in Unity it is for everyone to participate in.. it is a fun filled week of featuring creations by yourself showing off your Unity and Ippity Stamps!! you can sign up here!!
Today I am so excited to show you something I have been working on for the past two weeks. Inspired by my Growing in Unity stamp set.. and Donna Downey!!
My Mom is a sewer and does it all by just taking measurements and cutting.. no patterned needed. She made my wedding dress, all my bridesmaid dresses and 5 other dresses for my wedding 23 years ago.
I decided to be just like MOM.. (my hero) and step up my game .
So I made this apron ( got to start small) with no pattern, no instructions.. just my imagination and the scissors leading the way. I was thrilled that all the years looking at my Mom cut her own patterns ideas paid off!!
So here it is , my first Apron project
( I will be making these for Christmas gifts this year)
Hope you like it.. and get inspired to use your Unity/Ippity stamps in a different way!

See the flourished swirls well that is just one swirl you get in this Growing in Unity stamp set!!
The great thing is Angela has everything 40% off on the website this weekend so you will have to go check it out!!

I added the flowers.. the red and small chocolate felt ones I made using the 3D flower die from Sizzix. the big Brown mesh is by lily bee designs. ( thanks Sarah I am finally using it) .

It wasn't bad and only took me two days to stitch everything.. about an hour a night watching tv with the kids...

I am making some more for Christmas presents and one for my daughter Sydney for her Birthday in December. .. she wants to be matching with Mommy.. I think we will look smashing wearing it while making our Christmas treats this year.

Tell me what you think? I just love the idea that you can make whatever your heart desires with these Unity/ Ippity Stamps. It is really a designers dream.. to have minimal tools handy and that it can be multi functional .. I guess that is why I love Unity so much!!

Well it is now time to go check out the rest of today's Friends with Flair.. sorry about all the babbling.. this girl like to talk..hehe
The Unity Blog will have the Master List of today's Participants.. next one up is
the lovely Nora Anne

Just a reminder.. NOVEMBER 18TH is the IPPITY RELEASE PARTY!! mark that day down on your calendars cause it will be the BEST DAY EVER!!
I will be picking a comment winner and posting it on my blog tomorrow!!
Thank you for coming by my blog this week. I just love
Growing In Unity!!

Hugs,
Angie

Awesome! So you made the apron it's not one of those ones you can buy and decorate? You go girl! I would love to learn how to sew but I would need more hours in the day!
