Wee Memories .. something "NEW" challenge!!

Welcome to the last challenge for Wee Memories for 2011
it is going to be a fun and easy one..
to start out the "NEW" year with something "NEW"
WMC81

Here is my new year card using some wonderful papers and letter stickers from
Nikki Sivils- Summer collection.

I wanted something new and fresh.. no more Christmas papers!!
So this collection with this great paper inspired me to make this
fun card.. birds, clouds, rainbows and my camera..
all my favourite things for a "NEW"  year beginning.

I paper pieced some of the images and using my
Helmar liquid scrap dots to hold them in place..love that stuff.

Make sure you go to the Wee Memories Blog to check out all the details of today's  challenge. Also hop on over to the other girls on the Wee Memories Design Team
 to leave them some love..
we so appreciate all your wonderful comments every week.

Hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve... be safe.

Merry Christmas...

Wishing Everyone a Wonderful Merry Christmas.. ..
here are some photo's of our days leading up to today. Christmas 2011...

the tree has been dressed and the kids are making wishes...

it  becomes another playground for stuffed animals...

This magical key will give entry into the house, so it is placed on the door with care....

I love to see the kids with smiles on their faces.. this was Christmas Eve.

Christmas Morning.. Sydney is still half asleep.. but she is not moving until we open presents...

This is the moment I love the best.. to see the kids with big smiles.. then you know you did a good job.. it gets harder and harder each year when they are teens.

haha.. we are happy.. Santa filled our stockings with lots of loot...

another year.. and it is over... more to look forward to in 2012!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.. We still have one more visit tomorrow.. and they we are home for the days leading up to the New Year.. Be safe.. and have some fun.
Merry Christmas from our home to yours..

KinderStampO Ornaments, Ornaments and More..Ornaments Blog Hop!! woohoo

Hello everyone , welcome to the
KinderStampO Ornaments, Ornaments and More
Ornaments Blog Hop
 you should have started at
and if you have you have just come from

Karlas001  Beautiful Blog..

Today I have made this cute canvas ornament..
 really easy and no sew!!

Here is how I made it!!
Using my Spellbinder's  Shapeabilities by Samantha Walker, Blossom Tags and Accents
I cut the canvas out 2 times.. and with my Helmar 450 Quick Dry glue I glued around the outside of the canvas.. making a pocket. stuffing the inside of the pocket with filler and gluing the end shut.
Then I glued the small beige buttons in the shape of a tree.. adding a star on the top. the bottom is just a piece of brown felt for the trunk.  Adding some red and white twine from the Twinery ,also adhering it with the 450 Quick Dry glue.. this stuff is just amazing and holds things fast.. really fast!!
Adding the grommet and some more baker's twine.. the last thing I did was I lightly glued the sides where you see the scallops.. and then dipped it into some glitter , cause you need to have some bling!!  and it was ready to hang.. NO SEW!! love that!!

Now the fun part.. I will be giving away this ornament to one lucky commenter.. so leave some love!! Also go to all the participants in today's Blog Hop and comment for a BIG GRAND PRIZE!!
we are talking some Helmar, Unity Stamps, Some Lindy's Stamp Gang, KinderStampO, Karlas001, and PYMII.
Here is another look at it not on the tree... I just love it!!

12 Days of Christmas Art Advent.

I do this to myself every year.... I guess it is the love of crafting and being inspired .
I was on one of my Favourite blogs.. Yes and Amen.. by Junelle Jacobsen.
I had met her through Christy Tomblinson's She Art classes and was so inspired by
everything she does.. from photography, sketching, and her art pieces. Honestly she is
amazing!!  She with other wonderful artist were hosting a Christmas ornament on line class..
I totally missed it.. being so busy but I was so inspired by some of the photo's she had on her blog.
I wanted to do little ornaments but didn't have time to go get any small canvases.. So this is what I did
instead... I wanted to do a 12 Days of Christmas Advent for Sydney and thought these girls would
be perfect for the pockets.. and it would be a wonderful piece of Art for this time of year.. and hopefully
she will have this for years to come..

Advent!!

Here it is hanging in my living room.  I will be putting some notes, gifts, crafts inside the pockets. So Sydney will have a little thing to open starting today when she comes home from school.. The Crafty items I will be leaving for weekends so we have time to do them.

Now here are the individual panels of ARt..

These are all painted by hand, I don't sketch the girls.. I just go and layer paints on until I get something that works.. Using Canvas Cloth ( Home Depot) Faber Castell big brush pens, acrylic paints, stickles, fibers, prima flowers, jillibean soup letters, Unity stamps, beads, Helmar 450 quick dry and de'coupage glue  and lots of thread..

Now I am painted and tired out..haha.. but I think it was all worth it ..
Happy Holiday's everyone!!
come back tomorrow..
I will have my December Daily pages to share.
hugs,
Angie

FWF.. whoot whoot!!

Hello, Hope everyone is having a great day today...
I have a little canvas project to show you today..
I just love to make home made gifts for the season and this little
painting is one of them that I am giving to one of my dear neighbours..
I used quite alot of techniques on this canvas.. but the one I love the most
is after painting the background I heat embossed these snowflakes.
Using my Versamark ink , white embossing powder.. and my heat gun.
love how it all stands out on the canvas..
It just adds that little bit of magic to the canvas art.

this image was in the November Unity KOM.

I also made this cute card for the KOM challenge..
using the sketch provided by Lisa Arana..
you will find the image and sentiment in
this December Unity KOM

you can go check it out HERE!!
Also for the next 3 weeks Unity will be having an
 AMAZING Reduction Sale!!

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend!
hugs,
Angie
