Unity + Petaloo ... team up Unity Thursday!!

Happy Thursday everyone.. I wanted to share my project that was on the Unity Blog this past
Tuesday..  make sure you check out the Unity BLOG for all this weeks promotions..
if you were voting on the Facebook page yesterday..
you will see the awesome stamps that we will have availible to you today as itty bittys...
go grab yours on the Website..

here is my project.

Using one of the Past SMAK kits , I made this fun layout..
It was out time last fall down in Connecticut , where I was teaching at CKU
one of or stops was a trip to the Target there.. and I captured these kiddos
having a treat in the store.. Starbucks.. who can turn that down!!
Using the Past SMAK kit of the Month " love story clips"
this is the December 2012 SMAK kit..
I just love all the elements of this kit and that clip board had me all excited to
use it in a fun way to hang a photo.

For this layout I wanted a distressed look for my layered flower.
Using Flowers from Petaloo's Color Me Crazy collection...

I first took a variety of flowers to layer.. from large to small.. then sprayed them all with
Heidi Swapp's Color Shine.. then let those dry.

Then using the stamp from the April 2013 SMAK kit
"Celebrate the Good Times"
and some brown ink I stamped on the flowers.
then for the distressing I lightly splattered some
Bronze color shine .
the last thing I did was let the flower dry completely and used my fingers to form the shape
to make them more 3-D .. I love the look . I love that the stamping added another element to
what would just be a plain flower..

Again, we'll be sharing ideas using Unity Stamps & Petaloo all week long...

Now head on over to the wonderful and talented ..

also remember to go visit the Petaloo Blog to see what they have created today!!

Today I wanted to share a cute card for that special man in
your life!! Using Authentique's Lovely valentines inspired collection.

Using some of the patterned papers for my base card then adding this
wonderful card with sentiment , distressing the edges.
I wanted a big red bow and this ribbon from May Arts is perfect!
For the last feature I added these small flowers to the middle
of the red bow.. All of these elements make up a fun card that I will
give my hubby this year!!

Authentique and Petaloo Blog Hop.

Hello everyone, We have a fun Blog Hop with Petaloo and Authentique..
make sure you hop on over to the Authentique Blog and the Petaloo blog for lots of
Inspired projects.. leave comments to have a chance at a random giveaway.

I loved all the wonderful product provided by Petaloo.. it was the perfect match
to the "Enchanted" Collection of papers by Authentique.

I decided to do some fun magnetic clothes pins for my fridge.
so using the Enchanted paper I covered the clothes pins,
topping the top of the clothes pins with a punched out  web shape.

For the flower I punched out two 3 inch scalloped  round shapes,
cutting a slit in every second scallop.
then I cut one in a 2 inch scalloped circle, distressed them and crumpled them so they were not so flat. I added some fun furry string in black and the beautiful Petaloo peony beaded flower in the center, adding some words from the Enchanted word stickers. then adding a
fun foam Petaloo spider in the corner..

Then the butterfly mummy..  I stuck the mummy down on the paper clothes pin, layering the butterfly, black flower and words on top. Using the strong 450 helmar glue.

My last mummy, I glued the flower on the paper clothes pin, adding the mummy and spider on his head, using the Enchanted word stickers to finish it off..

These are fun and easy crafts to do with your kids or grand kids.. or do them yourself for your Halloween home decor. Hope you enjoyed this , make sure you check out the rest of the week for
more inspiration on the company blogs.
have a great day
hugs,
Angie
