H{ippity} HOP Hopping.. Back to School

H{ippity} HOP.. Monday
This weekend we were watching Blue's Clues and to my surprise.. Steve mentioned something about having a Hippity Hop Hopping time.. hahaha... I laughed out loud.. cause, he said Hippity HOp!!
Yes, these things amuse me... but I am sure I have watched this video several times and never caught on. I am slow..hehe
It is Monday , one week away from the kids going back to school. Grade 10 and Senior Kindergarten.. Well, both kids don't want to go back yet.. only us Adults think this is a good idea. I do love having them home but I need some me time to get some things done. Really I just want a clean house for more than 10 minutes.
And, speaking about back to school.. we have this weeks challenge by Kelly.. and it is about
BACK TO SCHOOL
So lets see some cards or layouts about Back to School.. you can find the challenge here in the Ippity Forum.
I did this card using some Cosmo Cricket papers from the Boyfriend set.
I also used some Ippity stamps from the Authentic Man ,Book It, and Quotes A'La Happy..

This weekend I also ran out of flowers so I made a whole lot of these..
Spiral Rosette Flowers.
With the help from my kiddos.. we managed to make about 60 of them..all different colours and sizes.. pretty don't you think, I also sprinkled some of them with glitter. They will be used for some upcoming projects. I need to make some different flowers this coming weekend.. just to have them handy to place on a card or layout.
I just love paper flowers.

Now it is time to keep on H{ippity} HOP Hopping over to see what the DT and Ippity participants have to show you on this wonderful H{ippity} HOP MONDAY. The main list of participants can be found on the Ippity Blog.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Angie

TGIF.. FWF

Ah.. its FRIDAY!!
I love Fridays.. and for me it really is not like any other day of the week , I mean I am home everyday.. but for some reason Friday's I tend to relax , it has to be the thought of having my hubby home, I actually sleep better knowing that he is home in the house!!
Friday is also a day of creative wonder over on the Unity Blog.. It is a day to celebrate all the creative things we can do with these stamps, and a list of participants that play along.. now how much fun is that!!
Today I have a layout to show you using some of the Melody Ross stamps from her kit
One Precious Life..
I was not sure if I wanted this kit, I love the images but was not sure how much use I would get out of it.. well my hubby bought me this kit and I sat on it for a while.. the images are so much nicer in person and BIG!! oh I love Unity for not skimping on the rubba...now for some reason yesterday it all came to me.. and I had to ink these babies up.. knowing exactly what I wanted to do with it. Some days it is just like that.
SO here is the layout- Sand Play.

Using some October Afternoon papers, and journaling spot, and some Jillybean soup letters , that I inked up in some Unity ink.

Sydney just loves going to the park, but this summer her favourite thing is to pack her sand toys and make castles.. So every day this is what we do, we dig deep for the wet sand and build away. Going around the park for some pebbles, leaves (weeds), and sticks, this way we can decorate the castle as well.. It will be a good summer memory to know that this was one of her favourite things to do. .. and she makes the very best of it, every day.

Now, it is time to hop on over to the next participants blog.. you will find the main list on the Unity Blog.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Angie

HIP HOP!!.. US

Happy Hip Hop Thursday!!
It has been a busy week, cleaning house.. not sure why, but I guess for some reason it has come over me to change some things around. I guess I am get ready for the school season . I want a clean house.. of course I just wish I didn't get this cleaning energy at 11 pm at night.
This weeks card was inspired by 2 things.. this weeks sketch HHSC22 and my Making Memories Slice machine..

I wanted to start using some to these diecuts on my cards, I think I need to get out of the funk of using squares, rectangles and squares.. so for this sketch I cut out this bird image from the Slice -Fall Back to School Design card. Just to give the card something different to look at. I quite like it!!

Simply Scrapping Crafts.. Challenges Every Wednesday!!.

It's Wednesday.. and we will have all the latest challenges up on Simply Scrapping Crafts today. This week I did some projects in the Card Corner and the Copic Corner Group.. I am loving all the different facets of SSC.. you can really let your imagination grow with all the challenges that the Design Team have to offer.. So come out and check us out.. we are bound to get your MojO working!!

This first card it for Week #4 of the Card Corner.. I love working for this group.. so many wonderful leaders to design for.. This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge by Maureen.. here is the card I made.

Here is that amazing sketch by Maureen.. love it!!

For the Copic Corner.. we will have a Video Lesson #16 up, Lisa is a brilliant teacher.. and today's lesson is one I love... being the frugal scrapper that I am.. this one is right up my alley.

To colour your embellishment with you copics.. OH YES!!! and if you have lots of the clear rhinestones like I do because the coloured ones are just not in my price range.. and I can get them cheap at my dollar store.
Just using your copics in any colour you want to colour them in... just go over the rhinestone..and Viola.. it is done.. so easy and no it doesn't come off.. I love it!!

Here is a photo demo for you...

Here is the card I did with my coloured rhinestones.. I think I have found a new love for BLING!!

BTW.. if you want to know where I got that image for my card from.. Guess what.. it is from a Cricut cartridge.. I used the Cricut markers instead of the cutting tool and got this image to colour in.. Love that I can now do so many fun Cricut images to colour as well.

So join us over at Simply Scrapping Crafts. The Gallery is just full of wonderful eye candy to look at . I am looking forward to a fun filled season there.. We also have some prizes and Guest Designer spots every month. So come join in the fun!!

Angie

H{IPPITY} HOP..

H{IPPITY} HOP

It's Monday.. and you know what happens on MOndaY's.. Hippity Hop time.
I love Monday's because they are filled with checking out what the Ippity participants have been up too.. lots of creativity going on today.. you can check out this list on the Ippity Blog.

Today's challenge is from Karen , time to get those paint brushes out or in my case I used my finger and PAINT!!(IHHC38),.. I decided to outline my pattern paper with this aqua colour acrylic paint.. I just love this colour, I wanted to do this colour combo and the aqua blue just pops off the green and browns.
What do you think?
It is a strange colour combination but I kind of like it! The boldness of the aqua paint with the flower just makes it.

dp- October Afternoon,

cuttlebug swirl folder
ribbon- Michael's.. this is where I got the combo from
stamps- Quotes A L'A Happy, Bitty Pixie Paisley

Now to play along make sure you upload your creation to the SCS ippity Gallery using the tag IHHC38, Ippity. All enteries have to be uploaded by Sunday Night for a chance at some Ippity Candy.. and who doesn't love that!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day.. Make sure you stop by the Ippity Blog for all the details on this week's Paint Challenge and to check out all the creative peeps playing along on the Hop!.

HIP HOP!!

Hip Hop!!
Happy Thursday!
Boy, did this week just fly by.. why is it that summer vacation days can't last longer, these days seem so short and full!
Today I have this fun layout to show you, who has seen this movie?
Well it is on my list of must sees, but before I go I made this layout!!
EAT, PRAY, LOVE
Using the Totally Happy, Now & Always stamps sets.
I can't remember what paper this is, sorry.

There are 2 flowers from the Now and Always.. I wanted to have some pop up flowers but had only this one sheet of paper.. so I doodled inside the flowers to match the paper and added some glitter.. it totally changes the flower don't you think?
I love how it all came together so perfectly.

I just love these x's.. and using some of the Ippity Ink colours I did a couple of lines and added some more doodling.. can you tell I love to doodle too?

this was also a challenge over at Creative Prompts 4U.

Something cute to share.. Everytime I am to take a photo of a layout this is what my little girl says to me.. "Mom, I want to be in the photo too" so I have tons of these shots...
cute.. so I promised her I would put her on
Hip Hop, she is a big fan of all these stamps!!

Now it is time to Hop on over to the amazingly talented EVA!!

Have a great sunshiny day!!
Hugs,
Angie

Canvas Inspired Album.. Unity Addicts Challenge.

This week I am doing the Unity Addicts Guest Challenge. Thank You Maria.. for letting me take part in this.
My challenge was to use those yummy Unity/Ippity stamps on anything other than paper. So a perfect way to do another page in my Canvas Inspired Album..
I wanted to just put down some steps for all of you that want to try this.
I first start by painting my canvas page and leave it to dry.. then with my stamp I ink up my image.. using black ink as a guide. stamp it on the fabric. now for the tricky part. to get the image as clear as possible.. if you can get you hands under the fabric and rub the image from the back.. you might have to take a black permanent extra fine marker to do touch ups. I also used some fabric paint in green and pink and stamped the image again for a multi coloured effect.

Here is the page, Using some UNITY Donna Downey Stamps from her

Where You Are collection.

If you go to the Splitcoaststampers Unity Addicts Challenge thread the challenge is up ready to take.
Have a great Wednesday.
Hugs,
Angie

Cardboard Mini Album.

Wednesday Already.. man this week is just flying by.. over at Simply Scrapping Crafts I have this cute Album I have been working on.. for the
.. If you have been over there lately.. you know every third week of the month I am hosting the challenge.. an ABC creative challenge.. and we are on the letter
"C" -CARDBOARD
.. All the different things you can do with some recycled cardboard.. it is truly amazing.
I decided to do this little mini and but some fun photo's of Sydney with her new water gun.. so it is a long post.. photo's and a small tutorial on how I made the Album.

HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE CARDBOARD MINI ALBUM

grab any piece of cardboard,
the one I used is the cardboard from the bottom of a case of cola.
I love that you get the embossed circles as an added texture .

cut your pages. whatever size you want..

All I did for mine was cut the large piece in thirds and them cut the thirds in half.
Now you can stop your album here and just bind it..

or you can go one step further.. just scroll down.

This is the extra step..
you can make different shapes on each of the pages..
I just cut these by hand.. so some of them are wonky but I like the look of a not so perfect album.

to distress, just peel off the top layer of the cardboard to see some
of the corrugated cardboard in the middle.

This is the side view..
you can use the bind it all to bind your album
or just punch 3 holes and use some binder rings.

I love that you can see all the different shape that you can make .
HERE IS THE FINISHED ALBUM
WATER FIGHT

A cool way to keep some summer memories, I love recycling.

{supplies, Ippity Stamps (Unity Stamp Company),
Cosmo Cricket chipboard thrift shop, joy ride, garden variety,
MS inks, Memento ink, dollarama foam sticker letters,
Cosmo Cricket papers,
MME papers.
fabric tape(can't remember the name), bind-it-all.}

I just love how it all turned out. I use just wallet size photo's just in case you were wondering.. I find it perfect for small albums.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Angie

Ippity Hop!!

Welcome Monday.. H{Ippity} Hopping today...

You have to love Monday's for the fact of getting to see some wonderful creations from the Ippity Participants .. you can find the list on the Ippity Blog

I did this card using some Yummy Echo Park papers!! Love the colours in this line. I also did this shaped card Using my Cricut to cut out the original shape, then taking a pencil and on the fold tracing and cutting it... I think It turned out pretty good.

I just love this Sunshine image and quote in the Quotes A'La Happy. That is what I decided to use today.

Wherever you go...

Today is Lisa Arana's Ippity Hop challenge.. and that is to use some string on your card or layout.

Using some string in this kraft colour I decided to make some circle flowers and took some of it to also border the upper edge of my card.

I did some machine stitching on the bottom half and the center of the circles. Using my copics to colour in the image in the colours of the paper.

Remember if you would like to order these stamps from the Summer Release.. you can just go to any Ippity Chick.. they are ready to help you in anyway!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday.

Hugs,

Angie
