Growing IN Unity Last Day!! FWF

WOW!! I can't believe it is my last day.. and I loved every minute of my Growing In Unity Week. I hope I showed you some great inspiring projects and from your comments I think you enjoyed them.. I love to challenge myself to step up my game.. and do something that I would never do.. it is good for this old mind to think once in awhile, hehe.

SO here goes... Day 5 of Growing IN Unity and FWF.. Today I have 2 different projects to share.. One is Using Unity's Background stamps to achieve that Basic Grey Basic Look that is so popular.. I just love that line but thought why not make my own.. and seeing that I have all these wonderful background stamps from my KOM's and individual wood ones.. I would give it a try.

Here are the to cards I did Using the background stamps. With some of the Newer Stamps from the June and May KOM.

I just got this background stamp this month , Oh I love it!! Love anything ledger.

You Give Me Happy Butterflies.

I stamped this butterfly from the May KOM on the card itself and then twice on white cardstock, paper piecing the 2 and with some foam dots I layered it on top of each other.

I also did this worn stars background , using the singing birds from the new June KOM.. love this image.. and the sentiment is from Birdie Inspiration.

Now here are all the other cardstock cards I made using white cardstock and kraft.. I thought I would do a variety of different backgrounds for making more cards.

Using the Haystack Unity Ink, some White or Kraft cardstock, some Frost white ink and some neutral colorbox inks with a variety of background stamps. I started to play.

For the white cardstock just ink up your background stamp with the haystack Unity ink.. then distress it with the Frost white, and the lighted of beige from the colorbox.. adding some more Haystack colour to finish it off. I made alot of these.. and they look amazing.

For the Kraft.. do the same but instead of using the Haystack use the Frost White.. make sure you get this brand Color Box.. it is the best white.. very crisp look for your coloured cardstock. Then distress it using the other colours.. just make sure you let the white ink dry for a bit.. it is a very wet ink and will take time to dry. The overall look is quite amazing.

I hope you give this a try.. it is a great look for any colour cardstock.. I think I might need more background stamps from Unity... obsession.. obsession..need them all!! hehehe

Now for my second Project , we had this great project going on for Simply Scrapping Craft's Wacky Wednesday this week.. To make a survival kit.. and mine was a Beach Survival Kit.. Using this case I got from my dollar store.. I recovered it with some paper and Bo Bunny Stickers.. and seeing that Unity has the best Beach Days and Sun Rays Stamp Set I knew I had to use it to embellish it more.. You will see on the front of the container that great sand castle stamp...

For the inside I used some survival kit products like some drink coolers, first aid kit, sun tan lotion, beach football, wipes.. etc... I did all the fun packaging using Unity Stamps from the same Beach Days... kit and the BBQ kit.. love how it all turned out. It was a great fun project to do and I have already used it.. it came in very handy.. love that.

Well it is time to now head over to the Unity blog for FWF where you will find a list of participants, find that blinkie and make sure you also comment today for I will be doing a draw tomorrow for my Growing In Unity week.. we have a great set of stamps to give away.. thank you Angela!! Come back tomorrow to find out who won!!

Growing In Unity Day 4... Just Circles..Circles..Circles

Welcome to Day 4 of my GIU week . Today I am sharing a Clean and Simple Summer layout. Using Just Circles.. all Unity Circles.. I really love seeing circle shapes on pattern paper and I always wanted this wonderful set of Just Circle stamps that Unity offers.. you get nine wonderful circles in this kit.. and they are huge in size.. a wonderful buy, and if you are a KOM member you can easily get these for free with the monthly incentive offer.. that is what I did and I love them. Here is the layout I did using them and some others from my other Unity stamp sets..

Love this Life

the Details, Using all different coloured inks I stamped the circle images across the cardstock. Then adding a spray of Tattered Angles Misting Glitter Spray.. and let it dry.. For the small circle stamp I cut out the images and using a foam dot.. I place it to give the layout some height.

I really love how clean and simple it is.. and it goes really great with the Unity Addicts Challenge #6.. for a Summertime Fun layout. Hope you all can take the challenge with me.. Maria is a wonderful hostess.

I am having tons of fun showing you all things Unity/ Ippity this week and will have something fun to show you tomorrow.. so please come back.

Growing In Unity... Day 3.. Eco Chic Unity Clothing!!

Okay.. are you ready to have some FUN today.. Day 3 Growing in Unity..I must say I just love all these images so much and so does my daughter.. and if she gets hold of my stamps she will stamp her little heart out everyday.. so I decided that I might as well do something fun that she can have all day.. to show her friends how much fun it is to do a special projects with Unity Stamps.. oh and I want to share with my friends too.. so here we have it!!
Using Unity , Fabric paint pens, make-up sponges and a t-shirt = FUN FUN CREATIVE FUN!!

Eco Chic.. and Chic it is.. What a fun project to do for the kids.. and it was so very easy and affordable.

Love the Earth

Here are the details.. to make your own. You will need.. some Fabric paint pens.. I got these at Walmart in the craft section for less than $7.oo for a package of 5 colours. A piece of cardboard, a make-up sponge to apply the paint, a tee.. I also got this at Walmart for $4.00 each, and whatever image from Unity Stamp Company.

First..you will need to place the cardboard in between the t-shirt, making sure everything is flat and ready to stamp on.

Pick your image.. I used the images from the Eco Chic set.. seeing that my daughter is big on saving the earth. Now lightly sponge on the colour of fabric paint to your image.. try it on a piece of paper first to see if your image is crisp..

Now stamp your image on your t-shirt, pressing on it and not moving it around too much.

You can colour in the image with the fine tip of the fabric paint or paintbrush.. to give it a little more than just a black image.. I just love how easy and fun this was.. I also love that I can take some of these images and make my own tee's now.. FUN!!

As you can tell Sydney , my ultra cute model.. will have a varitey of stamped images this summer.. The New... Unity Stamp Company Clothing Line. How much FUN will this be.

I am sure your kids will just love wearing something extra special that is homemade.. and what great gifts they will be too. I am so excited to do more.. This will be the first of many Tee's .

Happy Happy Creative Wednesday,

Hugs,

Angie

Growing in Unity Day 2.. Home Sweet Home

Day 2 of Growing in Unity.. Today I am sharing some canvas art.. but different. Using Canvas cloth, some Unity and Ippity Stamps, embroidery threads and markers.
I thought I wanted to do a country framed art piece for my home.. and the Unity stamps were the perfect images for this piece.

Home Sweet Home

First I started with a piece of canvas cloth.. really I kind of stole a piece of it from my hubby's painting drop cloth.. I am sure he won't mind hehehe... Then I lightly traced the backing of my photo frame this way I knew where to stamp my image to fit every image in the frame size.. I just used a pen for this. Now stamping my images , using black ink from Unity I made my pattern.

Using all different embroidery threads, I hand stitched , stitching over the stamped image as my guideline.. The colours were bright and I wanted a dull , worn look . So using the tea bag technique. I boiled some water and added a tea bag.. letting it steep. I then took the tea bag and blotted the cloth.. rinsing it more that once.. and left it to dry overnight.. and this is the creation I was left with.. I really love how it all turned out and it only took me a couple of hours to stitch it all up.

I think with all the wonderful image you can make some cute designs and give them away for gifts for any occasion. The frame I got at Michael's Craft Store for only $1.50.. you can't go wrong there, I also used some of the Unity stamp coloured ink to distress it. I hope you give this a try.. it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to hang it up. I think I might be making some for presents this year. Better get me my own Canvas Drop Cloth!!
Come back tomorrow for another project using Unity or Ippity Stamps.
Have a great Day
Hugs,
Angie

Ippity Hop.. Growing in Unity!! Day 1

Hello and welcome to my week of Growing in Unity..
Just a brief note on how it all works.. This week from Monday to Friday I will be featuring my projects using Unity Stamps and Ippity Stamps.. all you have to do is leave a comment everyday this week on all of my posts if you want.. all the commentors will then be gathered by number and I will select one to win a free stamp of your choice from Unity Stamp Company.. how wonderful and ultra generous is that!! SO I hope to see you visiting me all week long.. I promise not to disappoint!!

This week I am going to do some projects with little lessons on each one of them .. some will be paper, some will be fabric.. I hope all of them will be fun for you to also give a try!! Today is the card I did for Lisa's Challenge last week from the Ippity Blog.. using only one layer on your card. This is the card I did for the challenge. Using of course all Ippity.

Thanks

These are some of the little DETAILS of my card.

The first thing I did was from the 'A Moment in Time' stamp kit..is cut one flower off the stamp.. I know madness you are probably thinking but sometimes I just want one flower and not all of them to do a background.. but I can easily but it all together to use for a border..

then I lightly stamped the diecut shape from the ' Season of Joy' , and with the single flower stamp I stamped my image all around.

I then stamped the diecut image onto the same coloured cardstock. with 2 different inks I distressed the inside of the shape and with a copic marker I outlined a colour to match. Then stamping the image from 'A Little Buggy' and adding some bling this is what it all turned out like, the sentiment was from 'The Simple Things ' kit. I now cut around the diecut image and placed it on top of the flower image matching up where I first stamped it. I love how the flower stamp gave it alittle more.. I hope you try this for your next project.

Woohoo.. Day 1 done.. make sure you come back for Day 2.. I have something that will make you think differently about your stamps.. and how awesome you can use them to make some early holiday or friends gifts..
Seeing that it is also Ippity Monday Hop.. make sure you go to the Ippity Blog for the latest challenge and the list of Hoppers.. some very talented participants.. check it out!! Inspiration City!!
Happy Monday

Angie

FWF- Ippity, Unity on Canvas..

I have truly been inspired by using stamps on Canvas.. I love to paint with oil and acrylic but it is something that takes time and patience..
I was inspired sometime last year to do some canvas with ink browsing Donna Downey's blog.. but Eva really got my mojo going with her art project using Ippity stamps.. It was so wonderful to stamp and create something so different than what I am use to doing on canvas. I also had to try my hand at using some of the wonderful SHE stamps that I got in the mail last week. Here are my Ippity and Unity Canvas projects... hope you like them.
I have also entered this for The Play Date PDCC35. .. go check it out.

Now it is time to go and check out the other participants in today's Friends With Flair Blog Hop.. Find that Blinkie and you will have a chance at winning 25 random stamps from Unity Stamps.
Make sure you come back all next week starting Monday.. I am doing Growing In Unity all week long.. make comments everyday and you have a chance to win a great set of stamps from Unity.

Happy Friday!!...

Hugs,
Angie

This is what I came up with.. these small wonderful 5 1/5 inch purse cards.. love them..I would have never tried this if is wasn't for this prompt.. thanks Hanneke.

Using my Cricut Forever Young Cartridge, was easy.. they have 50 different purses to cut.. lots of fun there.. and then I cut 3x3 cards to attach them too. Using some sentiment stamps from who else.. Unity Stamp Company and some pewter metal pieces to embellish. Simple and wonderful. Can't wait to send some out.. All the papers are K&Company.

Now it is time for you to take this Prompt and let's see how this photo inspires you.. Check out the Creative Crew HERE.

TGF.. more than just a SUMMER FLING..

Happy Thursday Everyone.. I am having the best time playing around with this "SUNSHINE" Kit... honestly with a little imagination and determination to make things different.. you can alter the images beyond what they were meant to be. Today in my layout I did just that.. taking parts of the Sunshine large flower and making this....

More than just a summer Fling...

The Details...

I wanted to use this fun sentiment because is went so well with my photo's and I just love when that happens.. and then decided to make some cute doodle clouds to embellish it a little more.. love how it turned out. Now for the fun part...

taking the large sunshine flower I stamped it on white cardstock and then with a light blue ink distressed the petals. cutting each one out.. I added some double sided tape to each petal and stuck them behind my large cut shape.. I just love the look it gave.. adding another dimension to my layout. I also have a thing for scallops and this stamp is wonderful for that look.

Now it is time to check out what these special talented ladies did this week with the "SUNSHINE" Kit.. It is also official you can purchase this set at The Greeting Farm .

Now time to go check out The Greeting Farm Scrapbooking Designers!!

Simply Scrapping Crafts On-Line Crop This Weekend.

The Greeting Farm " SUNSHINE ".. for sale NOW!!

Hi Everyone.. Guess What.. Today is the day that The Greeting Farm starts the sale of the newest Scrapbooking Kit " Sunshine" So make sure you check out the blog for more information and the website to purchase... It will definately be one to get for all those summer layouts and cards... I have another layout using this wonderful kit!!

Little Dipper... Bring On Summer!

The Details...

for this second title I used the words from to of the sentiment stamps.. I love how you can play around with this set and make other titles for any layout. The dragonfly I stamped out and using different colours of copics I coloured it in to match my patterned papers.

I used that adorable bird and gave it some legs to just stand on the banner.. I just love that this kit had this bird and dragonfly.. Two of my favourite images to stamp.

A Little about the photo's.. this is my sweet daughter Sydney.. When we go to her Opa and Oma's for a visit we sometimes go down to the Lake, where it is more beachy and we skip stones, and dangle our feet in the water.. Usually she won't go near the water.. afraid of falling in. This year though , being the first time this season down there.. she had no problem getting her feet wet, she so wanted to go in the cold water , but no bathing suit or change of clothes... she did manage to get very wet anyways.. thank goodness for dryers at her Mutti's house!! In these photo's she is just the little dipper.. testing the water to see in her words " how wet it is" . Funny girl!!
Hope you all have a wonderful day, check me out tomorrow for another fun way to use these wonderful "SUNSHINE" stamps.
Hugs,
Angie

A Layout, A Card and A Flower Tutorial.. Ippity Style

Lately I have been having tons of FUN using all the Ippity Stamps.. I really love the variety they have in this new release.. lots of great images that you can use on pages, cards, and all your homemade embellishments!! Today I have a layout, a card and a easy flower tutorial for you...

Here is the layout I did using some images from NOW and ALWAYS. Loving that butterfly stamp.

The Details up close!

For the card I made I used the Burlap background stamp , the stamp from A MOMENT in TIME and the sentiment from THE SIMPLE THINGS.

I have also been having fun doing some Flower Tutorials.. and this on is also using some Recycled product that I seem to get when getting some of my packages.. you know that Kraft brown paper.. well look at what you can do with it and so me to the above stamps mentioned with the card.

1. cut or punch 3 different sized circles.. for the large circle I punched a scalloped shape. and grab a piece of cardboard as well.. might as well recycle all the way!!

2. the large circle I used the burlap stamp image and stamped it.

3. then the smallest circle I stamped it using the hand written stamp from A moment in time set.

4. using some copper Martha Ink I Inked up all three circles .

5. I cut my last smallest circle out of a piece of cardboard and ink it as well.

6. layer the circles and with a decorative brad poke through the layers and it is done... LOVE IT!!
I also did a layout here if you want to check it out to see what it might look like on a layout.. the card is above.
The Ippity Blog will have a list of participants so go make your way there to check out the other wonderful creative projects..
Have a wonderful Ippity Hop Monday!!!
Hugs,
Angie
