RELEASE DAY... HIP HOP!!

What a great week of Inspiring Projects for all the Ippity DT!! I just love what we have done this Release and I am thankful to be a part of this Release..

My mind has been on Christmas alot.. it is only 5 weeks away woohoo.. where did the year go!!

I am one of those strange people that has something in her head and has to create it.. Well earlier this week I woke up at 1am and had this great idea.. an {Ippity} Advent Calendar!!

I had it all sketched out, but had no time to create it.. well yesterday was the day.. it took 8 hours on and off.. but it all worked out wonderful.. take a look!!

Details of the Ippity Tags

I did some sewing on guess what?? oh yes my Canvas Cloth.. I made this Advent Calendar making a rectangle and adding 4 long pockets.. then stitched each long pocket to make 6 smaller pockets.. Getting 24 in total.
To make the tags I actually did what Angela did in her YouTube video that was posted yesterday.. but Using my Ippity Stamps.. You can check out her Video HERE.
Using some K& Company Paper and Jillibean Soup paper. Finishing it off with some bakers twine I got in the mail yesterday.. perfect timing.. it was from the twinery. If you take a good look at the top of the Advent you will see a Felt Snowman.. I drew out the Kissmas & Mistletoe snowman in felt distressed it and added it to my top display of fun Felt home made embellishments. the funky flowers I made using the tutorial that Eryn did HERE.

I will be filling the pockets with fun home made games to play.. some Christmas word flash cards ( my daughter is in SK) and some treats and crafts. I think she will love it and I know I will have this for years to come!!

{Ippity} Release Day # 4...

WOW.. It's Release Day 4..

What a fantastic time I have had using these FAB-U-LOUS stamps.. and the amazing thing is I am also going to stay on for the next 3 month as a

Guest Designer for Ippity!!

I am so thrilled to be apart of this AWESOME team of women for another Release Season!! I have been on Cloud 9 from the beginning and this is just the next cloud of happiness!!

Today we are showcasing the last stamp set and a background stamp named after the wonderful Maria.. Gurnsey Gingham I just love the name Eryn and Angela gave this gingham stamp..

I decided to finally do a layout and this new set HERE and NOW is a scrappers dream.. full of wonderful words, and journal images.. I love it!!

Living and Loving ..Life

Using the Gurnsey Gingham stamp in Unity's Haystack I inked up some of the page.. just for a touch of texture.. the papers are by K&Company.. the newest Yuletide.. the diecut birds are Cricut's Wall Decor and More Cartridge. Using some yummy Tim Holtz film ribbon and some fun fiber and paper flowers.. it all came together with these Amazing Here and Now stamps. I know I will be using this set a lot!!

Today i am using this cute set from Farm Fresh..

I just love the details in this set. Amazing images with wonderful detailed words... very country!! I am sure some of my Ippity/Unity friends will just love this FARM FRESH set!!

Country Girl

I made this Country Girl Card.. Using the Country Girl word image.. don't you love the details in the words.. AMAZING!! I also got my newest Cricut Cartridge out and cut this wonderful Country girl image.. I just love it!! The Cartridge is called Country Life.. it will be an awesome pair with this set of stamps.

I also made this fun frame as well using the Ippity Set Cherish Your Dreams.. Using alot of different textured elements to decorate it.. I will have a fun tutorial on Saturday.. so make sure you check out the Ippity Blog for more details on this project.

Hip Hop!!! December Daily

Happy Hip Hop!!

I am so excited to show you all the start of my

December Daily 2010.

I have been participating with the Ali Edwards December Daily every December for the last 2 years and love this project from conception to finish..

It is the one project that gets me excited to created a Holiday album every year. I have come to love the basic facts of starting really early and working on the basic pages . To see the project of in the beginning of a plain state to something extraordinary that you will cherish for years to come.. filled with memories and documentation of any normal day in the month of December.

(This is a project that is overwhelming if you are not prepared in the beginning.. so there is lots of time to get started if you want to.. It is not a project that you have to fill the pages of anything exciting.. it is just to document your everyday life leading up to Christmas . It can be a basic photo of your morning coffee or tea, your pet, your favourite warm pj's.. anything goes. You don't have to have kids.. it is just a special album of everyday life. )

I am really excited about the look of this album.. It is totally different than what I have done. The papers are more elegant with rich and neutral colours. The fun part of it is that most of the Teresa Collins papers and transparencies used I had the stamps to match.. funny how that all worked out. I have used Ippity, Unity and some Melissa Frances Stamps.. But mostly Ippity!!

Now here is my December Daily Album

Here are some of the Details.

The album uses different textures.. paper, felt, and of course canvas. Yes, I am addicted to canvas cloth!!hehe

I made this album using chipboards sheet cut 6.5 x 11.. the inside pages will be 6x10.5. Covered with some of the papers from Teresa Collins Noel line. The papers for the tags and inside number features are actually paper I made myself..I wanted a little canvas for the inside as well. I will post a Tutorial of this on Sunday.. easy peasy!! The Canvas on the front is actually a pocket that holds two canvas papered tags with some Ippity Stamped images and sentiments. I kept it all neutral so I inked the design images in the Unity Haystack Ink and the sentiments using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink.

( stamps used, Ippity Kissmas & Mistletoe, Season of Joy, and Love in Return papersand tag teresa collins, felt yellow bicycle, ribbon recycled from a box of chocolate, canvas cloth homedepot)
This is my album all together.. It will grow in size about double once I decorate the pages with photo's and embellishments. the back cover is all Canvas.. just plain and simple.

It will just be the basic pages.. and then in December starting the 2nd ..

I will have the beginning of the first pages done.. I am so excited.

This is also the theme of today's Hip Hop.. to do something December Daily related.. if can be anything.. from a small journal, to a recipe journal.. to something bigger like a December Daily. I personally can't wait to go check out what the DT have made.. I am sure you will be excited to Hip Hop.. so grab that coffee or tea and check out the great Hop.. starting at the Unity Blog.
