Friends with Flair.

Good Morning..

Today I am sharing a layout I did awhile ago of My sweet Guy.

Using Unity's Giving all Meaning background stamp!!


I started off with a purple cardstock.. a colour I hardly use.. and glued on some odd chipboard letters, numbers and shapes.. I them used gesso paint and covered the background 3 times.. and the last coat was a cream colour acrylic paint.. I then let it dry and took my background stamp and with the distress old paper ink by tim holtz and stamped on top of the chipboard pieces.. I love love how this technique looks on a layout.

Love this guy of mine.. he is my best friend, my biggest supporter and the love of my life.
He is my Prince!!


And my GUY bought me these this morning.. He suggested we go to Marshall's grand opening and look around. They had some nice stuff.. and he bought me these cute leather slip-ons..

love the square toes for my little duck feet.. and they have a heel.. I will be a little taller this summer. hehe



Oh and I just love this sweater.. 85% cotton will look amazing with capris and my linen pants.




I am also excited and a little nervous.. This coming Monday I will be doing my first video for Unity TV.. ahhhh!!! I can't wait to share it with you all. I am excited about this adventure in Unity TV land. Here is a Sneak at my Project.

HIP HOP!!

Hi Everyone, welcome to Hip Hop Thursday..

I just love this set.. and not only can you use ir for Valentines Day but all year round. I just love the doodle style of this set.. very me..

I also did the inside , using the flower stamp in a lighter colour and then the love stamp I inked up and coloured in.. LOVE IT!!

Now I have something else I have been working on this week.

H{ippity} HOP week #4

GoodMorning Everyone welcome to the

last week of the April Month Long Challenge.. with a twist..

Today we reveal what that twist is.....

NO SENTIMENTS on the front of your card.

Here is what I came up with.. Using the stamps from the

Ippity The Simple Things set. Love this image!

The diecut is from the Cricut cartridge Lacey Lables

I also put a quote in it from the Ippity Delightful Little Things set.

decorating the inside of my card for the My Unity Place Challenge as well.

Hope you all had a great Easter.. today we are still on Easter Holiday.. so the sun is shining and we are hoping to get out to the park for some fun.

Recipe for Hummus.

Hummus.. this is like having peanut butter in my family. It is a staple in our house!!

My love for Hummus started as a teen, I worked at a Mall and the Deli place sold the best hummus ever.. I would always buy it in the grocery store but it never quite compaired to the homemade Hummus Sammy use to make.

Well the last time we bought hummus it was $4.00 for a small container and we ended up spending $12.00 for some that would only last us a week and a bit.. so we went and searched You Tube for a recipe.. and came to this funny video.. I just had to share.. the Hummus song.. FUNNY

So here is my recipe for Hummus.

1 can of chick peas
2 cloves of crushed garlic
the juice of 2 lemons
1/4 cup of olive oil
1/8 cup of water
dash of ground roasted cumin
salt to taste
put it all in a blender and blend until smooth.. that is it.. so easy and delicious!!
Now it only costs us less than $4.00 for a huge amount.. and the family is eating it up like crazy!! yummy and good.

Good Morning.. H{ippity} Hop Monday!!

I have a different card using some of the Scrapbooking stamps from the Here and Now Ippity

set. Using this weeks Color Combo.. Fantastic colours!

I also wanted to do the challenge over on the All Things Unity blog. to use buttons!!

Well, button in my case. I place the brad over the button.. loved how it looks on the teal family heart. Here is also this weeks Color combo challenge.

Now my time at Scrapfest just wouldn't be the same without these ladies!! Kimber and Catherine.. LOVE them.. they make me sooooooooo HAPPY!!

Here is my Entourage!! My Posse... my family! Well, most of them.. I was so happy that all my sisters came out except my sister in Nova Scotia. .. but I am sure if she had the chance she would have been there too. So blessed to have my hubby and son also join us girls for a great weekend.
