right now it is 5:30 am.. my daughter woke me up from a sound sleep and of course she went back to bed .. but for an hour I was just staring into space.. so I got up and made these cards.. talk about Morning Mojo!! Something I was missing all week long. Glad I found it .. and all it took was the great WCMD challenges in the

so the first card I did Maria's Challenge of NO PATTERNED PAPER.
I just got my KOM this past week so this was just the perfect image for this!!

well I am a big fan of distressing my edges and paper.. I just love this technique. Using some October Afternoon papers and one of the images from the Sept. KOM that I must say matched perfectly with the paper. love when that happens.

It took me all day yesterday to make this one card ( some days are just like that ).. I just wasn't sure what I wanted.. and between all the trips to school.. I had to think.. think.. think.... Then finally these MME papers caught my eye.. I knew exactly what I wanted.. so here it is!!

Using the stamps from A Moment In Time..Fall for You...and House a Home.. The cupcake I made myself.. just hand drawn.. I added the tiny red dots from A moment in time.. and then some pearls.. coloured the kraft paper with my copics.. the bottom is just a piece of cuttlebugged brown paper.. cut in the shape of a cupcake bottom. the paper swirls are just scraps of paper twirled in circles.. yummy!!

some days you just need them. Tonight was our night.. My family doesn't really like the frozen french fries.. and I have tried to make the perfect french fry many times, but it has either been to burnt..or raw in the middle..
Yuck..
well, this is the one recipe that works magic.. you just can't stop eating them they are so delicious...
I start out with a BornerRotgelb V-slicer.. it makes the perfect cut fry.. you can alway just cut your own. I found mine at a garage sale years ago.. only because I gave my original one to my Uncle in Maryland.. he just loved it.
Wash and cut your fries.
in a deep pan pour vegetable oil and heat it to a hot temperature.. add your fries in batches.. I cut 5 medium potatoes and got 4 batches..
one buy one fry the fries until it is an opaque colour.. about 5 minutes..
now take them out of the oil and put in a bowl.. do the same with your other batches...
starting with the first batch you need to start re frying them until golden brown..( yes fry them twice).
do the same to all the other batch.. and you will have the best tasting french fry ever!!
Honestly.. it is one thing you will eat until it is all gone.. and between just three of us we polished off 5 potatoes!! Yummy

They can double up challenges, but will only win once- a thread in our Splitcoast forum will be started and list our winners players can use EITHER line (unity/ippity) for the challenges. My challenge is for you to make aSWING CARD.. It is quite easy once you get the hang of it.. and you will want to make more of these because they are so beautiful once you are finished. This is one I made Using some Holly Jolly Cosmo Cricket Papers...oh I just love these.. and some stamps from Ippity'sSeason Of Joy.
I was going to do a photo tutorial but I wasn't just getting the explanation right so I will be posting the wonderful video that inspired me.. by the beautiful and talented Beate John's
Here are just some size points you will want to know.. will make it alot easier.
1. cardstock size 5 1/2" x 6 3/4"
2. line up your paper and score at 2 3/4" from 0 - 1 1/4 ..... and from 4 1/4 - 5 1/5
3. now line up and score at 4 " the same from 0-1 1/4... and from 4 1/4 - 5 1/2
4. Now move your cardstock back to 1 1/4" mark and cut from 1 1/4 - 4 1/4
5. Now move your cardstock to 5 1/2" mark and cut the same from 1 1/4 - 4 1/4 .
6. Flip card over and cut from the first cutting mark to the first score line.. now do the same on the other sides.
7. now fold the first score line up and the second one down.. and you have your swing card.
8. Now it is time to just have fun and decorate it as you please.

It is fall here and the leaves are falling and the nights are cool.
The kids are enjoying all the things that go along with the
season.. raking the leaves.. jumping in the leaves.. and
playing outdoors.. we didn't get a lot of that this summer
it was so too hot to venture outdoors everyday..
but we are spending a lot of more time playing and having fun.
This photo was taken on Tuesday.. Sydney and her little
friends came over after school and raked the leaves, climbed
the tree.. and posed for some fall photo's on the front lawn.
Sydney that it would be a good photo to have her leg in the air.
That was her pose... so that is what I photographed.

Now this layout was done by stamping and it was also Hybrid.. Of course the stamps are all Ippity.. from the stamps sets Life is a Journey , Alphabetically Adorable and A Moment in Time.
The papers are Cosmo Crickets Nutmeg Digital papers and embellishments.. you can check it out here at Jessica Sprague. I love that I can just download the papers and embellishments and print what I need off.. I hope they come out with the Holly Jolly papers.. I loved those from last winter.
I also did this cute tag card, using the stamps from Ippity'sKissmas & Mistletoe.
