Simply Scrapping Crafts.. Challenges Every Wednesday!!.

It's Wednesday.. and we will have all the latest challenges up on Simply Scrapping Crafts today. This week I did some projects in the Card Corner and the Copic Corner Group.. I am loving all the different facets of SSC.. you can really let your imagination grow with all the challenges that the Design Team have to offer.. So come out and check us out.. we are bound to get your MojO working!!

This first card it for Week #4 of the Card Corner.. I love working for this group.. so many wonderful leaders to design for.. This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge by Maureen.. here is the card I made.

Here is that amazing sketch by Maureen.. love it!!

For the Copic Corner.. we will have a Video Lesson #16 up, Lisa is a brilliant teacher.. and today's lesson is one I love... being the frugal scrapper that I am.. this one is right up my alley.

To colour your embellishment with you copics.. OH YES!!! and if you have lots of the clear rhinestones like I do because the coloured ones are just not in my price range.. and I can get them cheap at my dollar store.
Just using your copics in any colour you want to colour them in... just go over the rhinestone..and Viola.. it is done.. so easy and no it doesn't come off.. I love it!!

Here is a photo demo for you...

Here is the card I did with my coloured rhinestones.. I think I have found a new love for BLING!!

BTW.. if you want to know where I got that image for my card from.. Guess what.. it is from a Cricut cartridge.. I used the Cricut markers instead of the cutting tool and got this image to colour in.. Love that I can now do so many fun Cricut images to colour as well.

So join us over at Simply Scrapping Crafts. The Gallery is just full of wonderful eye candy to look at . I am looking forward to a fun filled season there.. We also have some prizes and Guest Designer spots every month. So come join in the fun!!

Hugs,
Angie

Simply Scrapping.. Copics on Fabric Challenge!!

Over at the Copic Group on Simply Scrapping Crafts.. we have a great challenge for you this week.. Using your copics on FABRIC.. Oh yes you heard it right... and it is so easy and lots of fun to do.. Judy and I are designing for this weeks challenge so make sure you check it out HERE.

I decided to do a small pillow for my little daughter.. and using these Ippity Stamps from the NOW and ALWAYS set.. they are stunning images for cards, fabric or any other project you can stamp on.. I so love these flowers.

Love

HOW TO MAKE!!

I first cut my canvas to the size I wanted and then sewed all the sides but left a hole for the stuffing to go into.. now turning it on the right side.. I stamped my green images with fabric paint.. this is just using a sponge to apply the paint on the stamp.. and firmly stamping it on.. for the pink flower I took some black fabric paint and did the same technique.. let it dry and with my RV13 I started to colour with my copics.. it dried as I coloured instantly.. no need to wait.. Then I stuffed it and sewed by hand the side hole.. then I added these great pompoms to the sides.. CUTE isn't it.. and my daughter just loves it!! She wants me to make them for her friends now..

Here is a close up of the flowers coloured in with the copics..

This is the first project and challenge for the group this month.. so you have all month long to get in the challenge .. all participants must upload to the group and gallery with the proper TAGS and TITLE. This is a class related group with lots of amazing things to learn to do with your copics.. our Leaders Lisa and Judy work very hard to bring you new and wonderful challenges to bring your Copic projects to the next level. I love their teaching skills. And twice a month Lisa will do a Video tutorial using copics.. so make sure you join SSC and the Copic group.. we always have lot of fun learning from these wonderful Ladies.. love them both!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
Hugs,
Angie.

Simply Scrapping a Banner!!

You have to check this out.. I have been wanting to do one of these for my studio for such a long time but you know life happens and you forget.. well I forget so many things anyways.. this would not be anything new, just ask my hubby and kids. I was so happy ,because this was one of the challenges for us to do over at Simply Scrapping Crafts this week!! Wacky Wednesday .. LOVE IT!! Just right up my alley.. This is just one of the things you can do with this challenge.. or go ahead and do a layout or card.. but I think if you want to play this would be an awesome project for anyone to take it to the next level of creating
something wonderful. SO without babbling on I will show you what I made for the
SSC WaCkY WeDneSdaY Challenge.

CREATE

Using some clear recycled plastic I cut out the triangles and sewed the different patterned papers on.. Using my MM Slice card Animal Crackers I made all the flowers except the pipe cleaner flower.. that I also made. Using some pompom ribbon I added another fun texture . Hole punching the sides of the triangles and threading some yellow ribbon I have my finished Banner... Oh I just love it!! I hope you join us over at SSC to try out this challenge!! I want to see what you all come up with.
Happy Hump Day!!
Hugs & Smiles..

This is the Diecut/Punch Group. This is a fabulous group if you want to challenge yourself to use some of your diecuts and punches in a different way. We have a poll every month where we take your number 1 choice and do the challenges according to what you are interested in, and I get to play and learn my Cricut machine.. How much fun it that!!

This is the Copic Group.. where you will learn the best techniques for colouring your images.. Our leader Lisa has 2 video lessons each month with 2 card challenges. I just love this group because it teaches me copic skills that I would never get in any classroom environment.. and I can sit at home and learn!!

This is the Card Challenge Group.. where we have different inspiration to challenge us.. from photo inspiration, to colour combination.. layering or trying a new technique.. this is a great group for you.. you will love this one!!

Here are 3 projects I did for the online NSD Crop... our first one and it was so much fun.

This is for the scraplift group. Instead of making a layout I did a card.. and love how it turned out.

Simply Scrapping Wednesday.. 1 Sketch - 2 Cards.

Simply Scrapping Crafts.. I am designing for the Card Challenge Group and the Copic Group, together they have decided to team up and do this wonderful sketch by our very own DT Gal, Patricia. Seeing that I needed to do 2 cards for this sketch for 2different groups I wanted them to be as different as possible.

Here is the SSC Card Sketch by Patricia.

Here are my Cards,

For YOU

Using a digital image from Swiss Pixies, I coloured the image using my copic markers. This was for Lesson 5.. How to Colour Skin. Lisa has the video in the Group. I used the tiny bubbles Cuttlebug folder for the background , some clouds that I drew on white cardstock and Hambly rub-ons for the faux stitched scallops. The sentiment stamp is Unity.

You're Tweet

The next card is for the Card Challenge Group, Using another CB folder and some October Afternoon papers. The polymer clay bird I made myself and the sunflower diecut was from the dollarama.. I love that store. The sentiment is Unity ( can't get enough of this company, lol) Copic Group.
Judy also has the prize for this month up. It is amazing.. remember if you participate in any of the challenges for the month you get a chance of taking all this wonderful product home!!

Judy has also started a new group.. Scrap & Save.. and she is offering up to 40% product from the store.. so if you are in need of some great supplies check this out!!
Have a Great and Creative Wednesday.
Hugs and Smiles,
Angie

Simply Scrapping Crafts...Copic Lesson 2

Copic Lesson 2: Blending and Shading Pitfalls

this week we are learning how to blend and shade.. Lisa has a fantastic video tutorial on the Simply Scrapping Crafts Copic Class Corner you need to come over and check it out. If you are not already signed up on the website you will have to do that and then join the group for the awesome classes that Lisa is teaching. We as designers for the group have our examples up for you to check out.

This is the card I did for the lesson. Even though it is better to use more than two different shades of marker to achieve this technique. I managed to do it with only 2 shades.. I am looking forward to Scrapfest to get some more colours for my collection. I am just loving the process of being a better copic colour er.. it takes lots of time and patience but the end result it just amazing.. I am very happy with the results.

Here is my Card.. thinking of you

some close up detailed shots.

The image is from Digistamps Boutique
