Unity+Christy= LOVE

LOVE Christy Tomlinson!!
LOVE Unity...
LOVE mixed media..
here is something I made for my Unity post today!!

she dared to dream....

using some different sized tags, distressing inks by Tim Holtz ( you can purchase these also at Unity)

I made these crocheted flowers and trims.. I love the homespun element of this addition.

I coloured the girl using copics.

you can also use these stamps to dress up other tags like the MME tag I used the stitched daffodils with some spun sugar pink distress ink on the top of the image that was already there.

So dress up an old frame that is lying around the house.. I just used some white craft paint for a white washed look.. added some jute twine and these little wooden clothes pins to hole the tags up.

Now I can change the tags up as much as I want!.

these are all the stamp I used in today's project.

You can purchase all of these stamps and more on the Unity Website HERE!!

... addiction I know.. but a good one.. i have most of her stamps and can't wait to get the rest..
will be creating more fun projects using these beauties!!

Happy Sunday
Hugs,
Angie

So when I came across this photo tutorial on Pinterest.. well I just had to try it.. and yes, it works!! just follow the photo directions..

here is the sketch I did..

here is the photo tutorial I found..
my thanks to duitang.com for
giving such wonderful directions.

you can enlarge the photo or just head on over to pinterest .. the link is above. and give it a try!!

Now being sick.. my hubby went out this morning and got some meds from the store.. and in the bag
was also this cake.. a-dora-ble!! I think he loves me!!

Project Life 2012..

Week in photo's January 30- February 5th
Project Life. .. still fun..
still loving the size of my album.. so much that I went to get another for next year..
this is what I am using for anyone that wants to know!!

it is a 4x6. 4 pockets on each page. This photo album comes in all sorts of styles.
You can find it in your photo section at Walmart..
retailing for $12.96 CND.. so probably cheaper
in the USA.. best part.. you get in total 440  pockets.. that is more than enough for this project.
I think I will not change my cover for this one.. I like the Paris feel to it.!!

For the photos, I am actually going to print them at home.. I am using Satin Photo Paper from
Staples, and using my Brother Printer , printing them in 3.5 x 5 so I have the white space around
the photo to act like a frame.. the patterned papers I am cutting 1inch x 4 inches.. this will make up
the extra inch I need for everything to be 4x6.. mine is just alittle over 6 inches long to fill the pocket.

So here is this weeks..
For the Project Life tabs with my journaling I am printing some of the digital title spots in 4x6
and you will also see in this weeks that I have done some in wallet size to fit my baseball pocket pages.  This gives me more versatility in using the digital instead of the store bought ones. I am
getting all my Digital elements from Jessica Sprague.com

Using my stash.. the letters are from Cosmo Cricket, Basic Grey, Authentique and Pink Paislee.
I have some Bella Blvd sticker borders in here too. The papers are all Project Life.

there we go.. another week done.. I have a system set up for doing this and it is working.
I am just spending minimum time Saturday night printing most of my photo's , setting them in my
album and doing the  journaling paragraph of my week happenings.. I am finding that not having
to journal everyday, on individual cards, is making my life more enjoyable with this project.

Hope you give this a try.. I am just loving it!!

this will be posted on Project Life Tuesday.. mine is one day early.. only because of
my blog post on Tuesday's. Sketch Art Tuesday..
thanks so much for coming and checking me out. I appreciate all your wonderful comments
each week.. this makes me happy!!

Every Tuesday you can find lots of inspiration on Project Life users.

Have a great day
Hugs,
Angie.

Sketch Art Tuesday!!

So we are already at the end of the month.. wow last day I should say.. I can't believe how fast it is just going by!! Today is the last of my month's Sketch Art Tuesday Theme.. "flowers".
We will see what sparks for next month's theme.. not sure yet.. but I know I will have some hearts floating around!! February is the month of "LOVE"

So this is my sketch for today..
Using most of what I used this month..
some glitter nailpolish, and copics.. a combination of all three.

for this piece of Art I didn't want to stay in the lines of my design.
so applying the pan pastel pencils I applied the colour just like using
a crayon and with my fingers in a circular motion , I moved the
colour all around the image..

It almost has a glow effect and stands out from the whiteness of the background.

I did the same thing with the little bird on the ground..

I hope you are enjoying these Sketch Art Tuesday's . It is something different for me and I love
sharing my Art with you.. it is totally my style.

on another note.. anyone joining the class over at Christy Tomlinson's  blog.
it is by one of my Favourite people Junelle Jacobson. It is all about sketch Art and using
the everyday to inspire you.. I am all signed up and can't wait
for March to get here.. you can find all the detail here!!

I am looking forward to learning more about Sketch Art.. and will be posting my projects once the class starts.. yippee for learning. I just can't wait to get started. Hope you join me!!

See you all next week for more
Sketch Art Tuesday and another FUN month!!

Hugs,
Angie
