 can never be too early making some of these.

Here is the card I made using the SOTW..

I coloured the flowers in shades of pink..

thing cherry blossoms.. thinking spring!!

Scraproom ReDo 2012 !!

See this is what happens when we are all sick.. from the middle of last month we have all

been battling a cold of some kind.. this time around it was Roger's turn.. and for most of last

week he was out.. but yesterday.. we had a burst of energy..

so what do you do with all that energy saved up??

We clean.. and organize, and declutter!!

We decided to clean my scraproom.. Holy Moly do I ever have alot of stuff..

I was opening my mouth , gasping in shock at what came out of this room..

I really need to start using my stash and stop buying!! especially paper!!

So let's begin the tour of my newest scrap space.

All my furniture is re purposed.. taking something old and making something useful out of it.

The new part is this dresser we found at goodwill for $40.00.. 7 drawers.. and Roger but up posts so

I can have some under the table storage as well.. it houses my canvas and cards.

My Handyman.. he truly takes care of my needs.. love him!!

I have room for all my punches..and more haha!!

peg boards.. for my  helmar glue, stamps, etc..

I love this.. these are some wire baskets I had sitting on the counter taking up room..

 now I have them hooked to the peg board.

 yes, I really like this!!

Now my cupboard.. this item was from my old house.. and turned into a place for my papers..

I use to have a rack in here that would hold my papers.. it took up so much room..

 so  Roger put in 3 more shelves!!

Storage for bins of ribbon, stamps, altered items, and my cuttlebug, cricut, xyron.. and that

extra space for my grand calibur.. which is coming soon..

the other side holds my papers, scrapbooks..

This side has changed.. I got rid of my desk.. it was taking up so much room.. and I also wanted

a station for video taping on my counter. so now I have the computer and the camera in the perfect place.. very functional.. I also take my photo's here.. that is what the canvas is for ..

On the side.. I have my filing cabinet that houses stickers for Sydney, papers, and my printer.. the top

has all the different papers I need for my printer and my sketch books.

love how it all turned out.. now I have lots of room..

Now the space beyond.. Roger and Alex are building me and Syd a work table

it will be 6 feet long with shelving at the bottom for storage. it will eventually go in

the room below.. this way we have a work area for all to come over and have fun.

Hoping to show you picks of that in the next 2 weeks.. we just need to go find some 4x4's.

So happy Sunday..

 we are still sick, but the room is looking great..

10 large garbage bags, tons of furniture gone.. one major trip to the dump..  

 we are still  decluttering some more.. it is never ending!!

Now to go back to doing laundry.. haha

Me, well I am sick again.. this time it is my throat.. it is so sore I am having the worst time

swallowing.. so I am doing this post but will be taking the rest of the week off to get better.

This was also the card that broke my cuttlebug.. using some diecuts.. my cuttlebug finally had it's day. So hoping to get a new machine in a couple of weeks.. cause I can't live without one!!

HIP HOP.. SMAK down... TRUE story...

Happy Thursday Everyone..

Hip Hop here I am..

  using the March SMAK kit of the month!!

 I love this kit.. for many reasons.

you have so many wonderful Mixed Media textures in this kit..

and the heart.. is one I did.. but the overall kit is a must have!!

I also have a little personal story to tell

with my Layout for today..

I wanted to use this kit on a Scrapbooking layout.. and one of the sentiments

when read out loud I thought of these two wonderful people.

"Some people we never forget because, our lives have been forever changed by them"  

Well since the very beginning of my stamping journey, it  all started with Unity..

 the friendly banter of  HIP HOP and all the wonderful peeps chatting every Thursday..

 for a stay at home mom.. it was a great way to keep friends in my kitchen

 telling stories all day long.. it was the best part of my day, every Thursday

 ..oh not to mention the giveaways.. they are the most generous people I know!!

Best days ever!!  HIP HOP!!

.

Then came an actual chance to guest design for Ippity by Unity..

 well, I was so blessed to be a part of that team.. I hold these girls close to my heart..  it was fate..

 Then  came the day I needed to leave, but got to stay on an extra 3 months

I am thinking it must have been fate again.. blowing me a kiss!!

 .. Finally after 6 months my time a guest designer was up, I was sad.. no joking ..

but then, one Saturday Morning I got an email from Angela

my hubby woke me up and told me to check my mail!!

I had to shake my head a couple of times...  But, it was from Angela..

 asking if I would like to stay on full time with Unity....

well I nearly jumped out of my bed..  hit the floor with delight

I was so thankful for the opportunity, cause I LOVE unity.... yes, that much!!.

 Shortly after that I sent in some image designs to Angela just for her opinion ..

I had a dream one night and starting drawing .. and I actually liked with I drew!! 

Well ,again  she asked if I would like to be a Unity Artista on the trial basis..

that  was a year ago.. I have loved every minute of my time.. and someone will have

to physically take Unity away from me.. cause I am never leaving.. haha

I feel truly blessed to be a part of UNITY, to get to know the people behind the company,

 the designers and the wondeful caring staff in Spicer MI !!

I so admire them all,

 but, knew deep down that it would be

 more than just a crush on a stamp company... !!  

Angela and Christian ..

 they have made my dreams come true..

I will never, ever forget how much they have changed me creatively and as a person.

So , this is how this layout came to life..

and I wanted to document it..

I love these two... and the kick in the butt is ..

I have never met them.. but, they mean so much to me.

I think my daughter thinks they are an Aunt and Uncle that live far away..

because they are a part of our daily lives.

  

So.. haha there goes my  personal story for you.. haha.. a TRUE story.. like the

SMAK kit of the month title.. haha.. I just saw that!!

see this is FATE. 

 yes ,I laugh at myself all the time!!  having that moment right now!!

So if you have not gotten the SMAK kit of the month.. I am thinking this is a good month

to become a member.. the possibilities will be endless with this kit..

ART Tuesday.. showing some Unity stamps, yippee!!

Okay.. from Sketch Art Tuesday to ART Tuesday..

 cause I do more than just sketch Art and I want to share all I do..

 Now for the past week or two I have been busy making images for Unity.. some are handdrawn.. some are digital.. some are ideas hand drawn and them made digital.. it is a process.. I find that when I do a hand drawn image it is easier.. I know my subject and it is nice to see my hand strokes in my design..  Now if you have been on Facebook on the Unity or my pages.. you would have seen quite a few of my new images...

NOW this one is one that is going on this week..

it is called Unity Stamp of the Week..

it is a weekly membership where you get

one fabulous stamp delivered to you mail box

every week.. happy mail everyweek.. i love it!!

 and one of my hand drawn images is the featured stamp..

 So even though I have not got anything to really show you sketch wise.. I have these images that

I made & are going to be in stamp form.. now that is the ultimate DREAM come true..

Stay tuned cause I am hoping to have more coming out this year.. I am in a good place

and the Sketch Art is really helping me grow as an artist.. I can't wait for you to see

more images coming in the next few months. well, fingers crossed and all!!

FWF.. Heidi Grace Kress & KOM sneak peek!!

Happy Friends with Flair Friday..

I am just in love with these stamps from Heidi Grace Kress..

they are so much fun to colour, the images are way too cute!!

here are a couple of cards I have done using her designs.

These have been on the Pinterest Unity Stamp boards but I have not shared

them on my blog.. so I thought it was about time..haha.

for all project I used Unity stamps, Basic Grey, Bella Blvd paper ,Helmar zapdots & acid free glue, Twinery twine, michael's craft ribbon, eksuccess punch, spellbinders, and cuttlebug folders.

Also yesterday we showed a sneak peek on the Unity Facebook page.. I thought for everyone that does not have facebook  I would post it here!!

Look that is my name .. unity artista!!

Last year I had 1 image from the July KOM and some christmas background words.. I was

so thrilled to have them out in stamp form... but stay tuned.. in the next couple of months I hope

to have way more of my images for you to play with..

this is just one in the March 2012 kit of the month!!

I am still grinning from ear to ear!!
