Friends with Flair.. let's get messy!!

Hi Everyone.. welcome to another FRIDAY!!

woohooo... i love the beginning of the weekend.

today I have my beautiful goddaughter for a couple of days,

we are off swimming and to the movies today. so lots going on..

Only one more week then it is back to school!!

 

so today I wanted to share you with my project

for Unity TV.

 I thought it has been a long time ..

 I have not done a messy video using paints, stamps and more.. .. haha..

so..here is the project..

Create Everyday..

using some delicious Donna Downey stamps.

 

 

how here is the video on how it was all done.. start to finish!!

in fast forward. because in real life it took me 40 minutes..

just too long a video.  so sit back and enjoy.

Oh SNAP!!

Happy Hip Hop Thursday everyone..

I have a fun layout to share with you today!!

OH SNAP

I just got some of these new Amy Tangerine papers last weekend and had to use them..

I love the neutral colours and it has a camera.. so I am in!! haha..

I used the wonderful  May SMAK kit of the month for this layout..

I love the arrows and  dots.. and inked them on top of the patterned paper..

using Distressed inks, shabby shutters and black soot.

Now you see the green chevron, and camera paper!! Well I made those this week.

I will have them available for sale digitally so you can print them off . That is once I figure out how to do that all.. haha.. Hoping my brother will help me set it all up in the next couple of weeks ..

 so stayed tuned for some angieblomdesigns digital papers!!

 I printed these 3x5 , because I just needed a small amount..

I have been looking at alot of wonderful video's by Janna Werner, and she used some random thread in her layouts and thought I would give it a try.. ..  I love it.

Authentique Color Challenge..

Here are the Details!!

 

We have two challenges per month:
• Sketch Challenge - The Sketch Challenge will be posted on the first Saturday of each month. There will be two sketches posted {one card sketch and one layout sketch} for you to use as inspiration.
• Inspiration Color Challenge - The Inspiration Color Challenge will be posted on the third Saturday of each month. There will be a color storyboard posted for you to use as inspiration.

We would love for you to play along!
Just use the challenge inspiration to create as many projects as you'd like.
A winner will be randomly selected from all the qualified entries to receive an Authentique Paper prize pack!
{The more projects you create, the better your chances are of winning!}

I have a true story to share with you today....

This week I got some Happy Mail from Unity.. some wonderful Alpha stamps I purchased, because I just love how big they are.. great for cards, layout and art journaling...

I was happy in love.. you stamp a holics will know what I mean!! haha

Well , as soon as they came in I started inking them up in.. honestly it was out of the package

in minutes of getting it.. inked up and I had to share..  haha

so, I instagramed this cute card

using the large Liz Hicks Alpha's and some of the new Donna Downey..( empowered words)

Well I tagged both artists in my instagram post.. and low and behold the beautiful Liz Hicks commented back for me to email her some projects using her stamps.. well, I was overjoyed.. and had

Blog Hop with Basically Bare.. Authentique goodness!!

Hi everyone, Authentique and Basically Bare are having a hop

Here is the project I made in more detail.

I decided to make a Halloween door hanger.

This owl chipboard shape was perfect for my project.

These Authentique "Enchanted " papers made it easy.

Now for an easy way to add paper to chip board this is what I do.. first take some glue and spread

it everywhere..

Then just place it on the opposite side of the paper you want to use.. let dry, then either

cut it out by hand with small scissors, or use an x-acto  knife ,  I then sand the edges and distress

it with some ink. Today I used some Vintage Photo by Ranger.

Doing this you can get a clean fit for your chipboard.. the distressing makes it all come together,

and gives it a look I like.  I wanted the owl to be whimsical

So I made sure I dressed him up in the Halloween Theme..  first by using different patterned papers,

then adding the hat and moustache. I think he looks CUTE!!

 The "B" I wanted to symbolize my last name initial so I hand cut one out and layered some patterned paper using glue dots.. then added the glitter glue to accent it all. I wanted our family name on there as well so with some of the great letters and words in the "Enchanted" collection I was able to

fit that in.

This was a fun project and I want to show you all the wonderful product used.. Thank You Basically Bare.. and Authentique for making such wonderful product !!

SMAK this....

Well, Happy mail day today.. I got my

Unity SMAK kit.. another wonderful kit!!

LOVE every image in here...

can't you tell.. I had to ink it up right away!!

 my point of view.. August SMAK kit of the month.

 here is my full 8.5 x 11 layout..

using some yummy inks from memento I inked some

of the various stamps and layered it on top of each other..

I love seeing the other stamps underneath those banners.

I just love to just use the stamps and a little bit of patterned paper ( Authentique- curosity)

and some washi tape..
