I am really excited to share this little Mixed Media Project with you today..

S.M.A.K..

Scrapbooking/Mixed media/ Altered Art Kit...

 the newest kind of Monthy KOM by Unity..

Well if you already know me.. anything Mixed Media is like heaven.. I just love it all!!

A true passion of mine.. and to then have these wonderful stamps to create my ART with .. well

you can just imagine my excitement.. whoot whoot UNITY!!

 Using some to the images it was amazing to add some FUN elements to my canvas ART!!

  here is a look at some of the details..

love this film strip.. love anything with a film strip.. look at the awesome details up close!!

in the light blue I used the round wish stamp to make the scallops.

the heart was using my Pan Pastels.. I love the effect of using this on my canvas!!.

Hip Hopping with My Little Shoebox!!

Hello and welcome to the second

 Unity / My Little Shoebox BLOG HOP!!

if you have come from the Unity Stamp Company Blog, you are in the right place!!

If not go back and start there.. it is the beginning of this amazing hop!!

I made 4 different projects for today.. I hope to inspire you to use these two products.

Unity and My Little Shoebox are together co-branding some wonderful images that can be used so nicely with MLS paper products.. I am so in love with every line!!

My first project was to alter some small composition books.

I just think this is a great idea for stocking stuffers, I am making a bunch of these

to give to my many nieces .  Using papers from the Audrey Line, some stamps from the Pretty Little things, and Audrey lines, stickers from the Pretty Little Things..

The second project was for my daughter.. this pretty frame , I paper pieced the flowers from one of the papers from the Enchanted Garden Paper line

 and used the "beautiful " stamp with some of the fun MLS glittery letters.

 

Now I just love this one project.. and so does my daughter.. I took the stamps from the halloween line

 "A Little Trick orTreat" and using some black fabric paint.. inked it up and went crazy.. she is totally i love with this

MLS/ Unity tee. and it was original.. can't beat that!!

yes, she loves to model!!

 

My last project was an inside door hanger for this coming Halloween. Using paper, stickers,

 stamps from the {A LittleTrick or Treat} line.

Today I am Thankful for Fall.. the beautiful colours just outside my door..

Seeing that some people are experiencing SNOW today...

(which by the way just freaks me out... and I live in Canada.)

I made this card gift set using the

 Orchard Harvest stamps by Samantha Walker

 Orchard Harvest Tags & Accents die cuts by Spellbinders  

here is the box I made.. and the papers are also from the Samantha Walker Collection.

 Using just a simple design for my cards, I wanted to keep it clean .. easy to make a bunch of them using the stamps and the die cuts as the focus!

 

The top of the box was decorated with Samantha Walker's papers.. using my Tim Holtz distress inks to add the colours... okay I am so obsessed with these distress inks!!

Here is my finished set.. I just love all the fall colours.. and with these simple sentiments you can use these cards for any Fall Occasion.. I am sure they would be great with a birthday greeting inside!

Hello and welcome Friday!!

for some reason.. this month is just flying by.. the days just seem to get faster and faster.

I can't believe it is the middle of the month.

Trust me I don't mind.. only because today it Scrapfest.. yippee

Using the challenge for this Week over at Scrapbooker's Paradise PPC#37

 The one thing I find hard  to do is one layered cards.. but found out by using my embossing folder.. it added the texture to the cardstock , giving me the look I wanted. So if you love detail.. try this tip for your card creation. I just love how it all turned out..

Paper Smooches... Sparks Challenge

As if late I have gotten the feeling like I am missing out on everything..

 There are so many companies out there, I just love everything I see.. but just can't afford to just go crazy and buy it all up. (No divorce in this family over crafting supplies!! haha)

 It really makes it hard to play in the challenges.. if you know what I mean..

I know we all go through this. It just can't be me.??

I was so happy to see that Paper Smooches has some FREE digital stamps!

Yes, I know they have had them from the beginning , but it is to find the time to play along.

Well , seeing that some of my friends are on their new Paper Smooches Sparks Design Team.. I just had to play along.. I just love all the images that Kim has made for her stamp company!!

Taking the digital stamp of the Leaf and the Thankful sentiment here is what I came up with.

my inspiration what the colours, the leaves, and the round shapes I used for my border!

 I added the little line of stickles glitter glue for a fun, simple texture.

Swimming for Katie Renz

From October 10-12 some of the best stampers are joining together to support and encourage our friend and fellow stamper, Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here.

This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs both also donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted.
