FWF.. Inspired Canvas Album
It took me all day yesterday to figure out what I wanted to do.. I have a ton of paint on this page.. doing a self portrait of myself.. with no nose, cause well ,I just don't know how to do noses.. and the mouth itself took me an hour to get it looking like this.. but in the end it was all worth the effort and the globs of paint on my hands. I so love it!!
trust in your potential....
I just love this quote in the "SHE", Donna Downey set from Unity Stamp Company.
I am in the process of doing just this... so to me it was perfect for this page in my album.
Using Acrylic paint I did this self portrait of myself all free hand.. it took awhile but I am liking it alot.. I even love the glitter in my hair.. well in real life those would be my grey's that sparkle and shine..hehe. I then Used some of the stamps from the Samantha Walker Butterfly Garden set.. white ink.. but it didn't show up so I went over it with some of the flowers from the same set in black ink, popped some red paint to the centers and some more glitter on the butterflies. Sparkly and so pretty!!
Well this weekend we are going to the cottage for our Birthday Weekend.. I will turn that big 46 this year and my Hubby will be 44.. Yes, we share the same day, very cool. I am looking forward to spending time having some fun, roasting some marshmellow, hoping for no rain!! Yes, and no Mosquitoes as well. So if I don't get to comment on your blogs you will know why.. but I will try when I come home Monday or Tuesday.
Time to hop on over to Unity's Blog and check out the particpant on today's HOP!! Find that Blinkie and have a great day.
Hugs to you all,
Angie

The Greeting Farm.. Summer Vacation
Oh Sweet Summer.. It has been so hot here in Toronto.. in a way a good thing we have the pool set up in the backyard , so everyday we hang out for a couple of hours and it is refreshing and cool.
At the Greeting Farm we are having a Summer of Fun layouts by the Scrapbooking Design Team.. I so love these kits and the images.. if you haven't gotten the new "Sunshine" Kit.. it is a wonderful kit to make your layouts and cards. Perfect for this time of year.
Now the challenge is all about Summer.. I did this layout about our Summer Vacation Weekend at the cottage.
Sweet Summer
Using some October Afternoon papers, stickers and letters from the Fly a Kite line. I just love anything OA.. so many wonderful images. I stamped the flower image from the "Sunshine" kit and cut them in half to make this small border on the top.. had to bling them up a little too.
I also inked up this dragonfly and coloured it in some of the colours in the patterned paper.I just love this image.. I will be using this over and over again this summer.
This is the cottage view.. I love to see the kids and my mother in law having fun in the lake.. It was a chilly experience , but they really seem to enjoy it.. and even though my family thinks that I am crazy for taking so many photo's on this very weekend.. that is okay.. because at least I have captured moments like these simple pleasure ones.. and I love that.
Now time to check out these talented .. ladies.. Creative everyone of them!!
We will be heading out to this location.. for this is the Summer Cottage Vacation Weekend.. so lots more photo memories to capture.
have a great weekend,
Hugs, Angie
Creative Prompts 4U.. Let's Eat Cake!!
This is the layout I did for this yummy challenge.
Cousins eating some YUMMY CAKE!!
Using one of the photo's in the photo Prompt I made this background template out of creamy white cardstock. Taking my Cuttlebug and some different folders I embossed some of the images in random spots.. I didn't want to cover the whole paper.
I am in love with these branches and flowers and couldn't believe how perfect it was for this layout and prompt.. I used my Home Cricut cartridge and cut out these branches in the 2.5 and 3.5 sizes.. and with some white fabric flowers and some really cool golden dewdrops I added them on for dimension.
I know another photo.. but I just love it that much..hehe. I used some Jenni Bowlin mini brown letters and some white Bella Blvd white and inked to distress it alittle.
Now go to Creative Prompts 4U and check out the wonderful creations from the Creative Crew.

FWF and Creative Prompts 4U
Here is my layout..
Merry and Bright
Some Details..
I coloured the tree in with my copics and added the pearls.. I wanted a more cute and kid like hand written title..so with a Pentel 0.7mm ball black permanent marker.. I wrote out the words and coloured them in.. You will love this marker I got mine at Walmart with the back to school stuff last year and you don't ruin your copics using it.. and if you want to do your own images it is wonderful to use.. writes on anything even photo's. love that.
I did the same for these ornament images.. I just love this set.. and for some height I used a high foam pop dots and then layered it again with some thinner pop dots for some dimension.
Now it is time to check out the Creative Crew at CP4U.. and to also check out the talent on the Unity Blog.. Friends with Flair.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend,
Hugs

This was the sketch for this weeks Challenge.. the wonderful Claudette did this one and I totally loved creating with it.
now check out the details of these stamps.
You are my Summer.. is only one of the many sentiments that I inked in two different inks and because the ink was so light I went over the stamp with my copic markers.. to make it stand out more.. the flower with the camera is also in the Sunshine kit.. love flowers and I coloured it in my copics and added the camera chipboard.
Don't you just love this bubble.. well this comes in the Sunshine kit as well.. I so love it for journaling.. and those wonderful butterflies are in the Spotlight Kit.. I can't get enough of these butterflies.. !!

FWF.. Love this day!!
Now look at him.. not so much a boy but a man is what I see before me. He is still that wonderful loving boy and always will be Mama's baby.. even when he is grown and married.. right!!
Just wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday today.. wow where did the time go... 15 , I waited a long time to have you sweet boy and I am so blessed to have you in my life. Daddy, Sydney and I love you so much.
Now before I babble on forever.. hehe
I just love Thursdays getting a chance to chat with all the hip hoppers.. it really makes my week. Then comes Friday.. and Friends with Flair.. such a wonderful thing to be apart of each week. I love it!! Today I have a card that I did for the Unity Addicts Challenge. I love the inspiration card for this challenge and had to make one. Thanks to Maria for always being such a wonderful host and for the talented guests for posting some inspiration. Here is my card..
All Journeys..
this is the inside of the card.
Now yesterday we were all talking about making things.. and I just had to try this seeing that I had all the supplies and didn't have to go and buy anything.. so here it is my tutorial on making..
Homemade Glimmer Mists.
Supplies:
water, acrylic paint.. any colour, spray bottles, these were recycled ones from some body mists I had finished, some perfect pearls.. these I won years ago and never used them until now.. and that is it..
I first poured some paint in the containers.. you will need to add more just in case you want a stronger colour in the end.
Then I put in a couple of scoops of perfect pearls.. I used a light green and a pink.
then add your water.. not to the top , just in case you want to add more paint.. and then place the top on and shake .. shake .. shake.. until the paint is fully mixed into the water.. then you are ready to spray.. test it out on scraps of white paper to see if you want a deeper colour.. then just add more paint.
these are the colours I made and it only took me 5 minutes.. amazing.. now I need some more misting bottles cause I want every colour.. hehe..
Here are the sprays of glimmering mists.. beautiful and they shimmer too.. love that.. so go and save your money and make your own.. from the frugal scrapper.. hehe
have to save my money so I can buy all the Unity and Ippity stamps right!!
Now if you go and check out all the participants in todays FWF.. is it all on the Unity Blog!!

Creative Prompts.. Inspiration for my Canvas Inspired Album
Here is the page in my canvas album
here is the inspiration piece.
Nicole who chose this Internet site Maria Filo as the inspiration piece!!
North Beach
Using some acrylic paints I did my background.. taking all the elements of the inspired photo and putting them on the canvas.. a wonderful backdrop for this photo.. of my son Alex and his long time gal pal Becca.. they have know each other from day one of birth... this was them riding the mini bike and running having a race on the beach this past weekend. I wanted to blend the photo into the canvas .. Using this wonderful Unity Stamp quote that I put on a scrap of canvas cloth and then glued it on . Adding some more Polymer clay clouds.. it is a thin and light embellishment to give the page some texture without taking away from the painting.
I truly love this.. and it is one of my favourite place to go.. it inspires the artist in me..I want to one day just take my canvas and sit and paint .. it is so beautiful... I love the beach and could spend hours and hours there just walking, swimming and of course taking photo's.. This was one weekend that I managed to take 720 photo's.. shocked my husband.. but he should know me better.. I thought I was doing good!! hehe
but enough rambling on..hehe.. I know I can talk forever!!
Make sure you check out the Creative Crew and all the wonderful inspiration they got from this piece.
Happy Thursday.
hugs,
Angie
The Greeting Farm .. Summer (TIME) challenge
Here is what I did.
Bring On The Sunshine.
Using my cricut I cut the two image out.. the clock and the little girl having fun in the sand.. this was the A Child's Year cartridge. I distressed it with brown and white inks.. and Using the dragonfly stamp I cut the main body off and used it on the little girl.. love the details in this stamp. I also took the quote and cut the words.. just perfect for these photo's of my daughter at the beach playing in the sand. ..
Now check out these creative ladies.. the Greeting Farm Scrapbooking Team.

Simply Scrapping.. Copics on Fabric Challenge!!
I decided to do a small pillow for my little daughter.. and using these Ippity Stamps from the NOW and ALWAYS set.. they are stunning images for cards, fabric or any other project you can stamp on.. I so love these flowers.
Love
HOW TO MAKE!!
I first cut my canvas to the size I wanted and then sewed all the sides but left a hole for the stuffing to go into.. now turning it on the right side.. I stamped my green images with fabric paint.. this is just using a sponge to apply the paint on the stamp.. and firmly stamping it on.. for the pink flower I took some black fabric paint and did the same technique.. let it dry and with my RV13 I started to colour with my copics.. it dried as I coloured instantly.. no need to wait.. Then I stuffed it and sewed by hand the side hole.. then I added these great pompoms to the sides.. CUTE isn't it.. and my daughter just loves it!! She wants me to make them for her friends now..
This is the first project and challenge for the group this month.. so you have all month long to get in the challenge .. all participants must upload to the group and gallery with the proper TAGS and TITLE. This is a class related group with lots of amazing things to learn to do with your copics.. our Leaders Lisa and Judy work very hard to bring you new and wonderful challenges to bring your Copic projects to the next level. I love their teaching skills. And twice a month Lisa will do a Video tutorial using copics.. so make sure you join SSC and the Copic group.. we always have lot of fun learning from these wonderful Ladies.. love them both!!

Inspired Canvas Album
Inspired Canvas Album
This is the cover of my Album.. I just love this quote from the Donna Downey stamp set..Artist in You. I also used one of the leaf vines from that set , the girl is from the "She" set also by DD.
The Polymer Clay pieces I made by just forming the clay and using my cuttlebug embossing folders, I added the textures by lightly pressing on it. love how they turned out.
The back cover.. I painted with all acrylic paints, loving the sun and seeing that my album as not straight and exact in any way or form the pages will sometimes be smaller than others.. so I also painted the tip of the page underneath to finish the back off.. I know strange but that is how I work..
Now let me tell you how I made this album. My Hubby Roger ( love this man!!) bought me a piece of Canvas drop cloth from the local Home Depot.. it is a 5feet x12 feet of cloth.. nice and strong and 100% cotton.. great for alot of project that I want to try.. I cut a long piece of this about 6inches in length and the whole width of the cloth. now just cutting by eye I decided on how large I wanted the book to be.. making sure when it folded in half it was a good size.. mine is 6X10 so folder in half it is 6X5.. all I did was cut the sizes 6x10 and put the all together..
I got (7) 6x10 sheets.. now with my sewing machine I went down the middle of the sheets.. this way you can easily fold it on the stitch.. I added a band of canvas to the middle to make it more secure.. I left the edges of the album raw.. I wanted it to have a natural rough edge.. with frays of material.
Now just grab whatever paints you have on hand.. if not the dollarstore always has great acrylic paints.. if you have mists use them too.. it looks amazing on canvas.. right now all I have is the one colour.. I need to find the tutorial on how to make my own.. I know it was posted somewhere.. I am sure you tube might have a video.. they have everything. Gather your stamps , brushes or sponges. Now just start to create.. there is not any right way to do it.. just do what you want and paint your heart away.. It is all about what inspires you!!
I will also be doing a page every couple of days.. so make sure you check back to see what the other pages have on them.. I have some ideas of what I would like to in my head already..
I hope you will try this too. I think It will be a great project to look back on in a couple of years.. I love to paint and stamp so this is just perfect to blend the two together. Thanks for dropping in!!
Hugs,
Angie
