Authentique Color Challenge for October

Hello, It is another month creeping up so fast on us already....
The Colour Challenge for October is over on the
Did you join us last month.. I find these color challenges are so much fun.
This month I decided to create a mini album
Using this beautiful collection "Peaceful"
I just love these colours, and using some doily inspired elements
for a shabby clean vintage look.

Take a look at the photo's of what I made below.
This is my Album cover
Baby it's cold OUTSIDE

Here is the beautiful story board , I love these inspirational photo's
and the colour pallet is outstanding.

Here are the inside pages of my mini Album .

Using a variety of Die cuts from Spellbinders,a variety of different punches
and my Cricut Cartridges, I layered them on top
of the variety of patterned papers from the Peaceful collection..
 adding sticker elements and words
from the same collection.. it all went so perfectly.

I will fill the pages with photo's this winter, I love that the album is ready and all I will need to do is add photo's to it. I hope you come on over and link up your projects using these colours.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Monday
Hugs,
Angie

Camera Mini FUN!!! HIP HOP

Hello all, it took me a bit to do this blog post,, I ran out of photo room and had to do some
deleting from old... really old photo's.. they made me laugh cause boy in 2009 I really
sucked big time at making cards.. so glad over the years I have improved..haha well I hope so!!

So yesterday I thought I was going to go the same route and make a card to show today,
well then in the back of my mind I thought "NOT" , I realized I have not inked up
the new Unity SMAK kit of the month
 " never a dull moment"
using some of my new stamp designs from the kit.. I made this ca-ute mini album.
trust me you will love this.. I know I do !!

I just love a kit that you can do more than just some layouts..
and this kit is perfect to let your
imagination go wild...
the stamps designs that are my images are the following..
the 4 scalloped borders,
 the circle Months,
the remember this moment forever,
 the large camera
the insta photo frame
and the date arrow.
I am very excited to see these in rubber
and my post below will tell you just why!!

(beware lots of photo's but  they are all worth looking at)
I made this cute camera beach mini album
the cover is heat embossed on kraft paper and paperpieced
adding some touches of papers from Prima, washi tape
and some amazing sticker words from Authentique Paper.

I wanted to use the frames in all different  so I inked them up using memento mini ink pads
in different colours to match the papers, also inking up the dotted scalloped border to match.
and added some washi tape for another element.
The photo's are all instagram other than one that is wallet size. I do at home printing
and can get 9 different photo's on one sheet of 8.5x 11 satin finish photo paper (staples brand)

The different diecuts are from my Cricut carts, spellbinders and cuttlebug. I love the look of diecuts in white so you will see most of them are that colour.
To me it is just so fresh to see white with lots of colours on a page.

For the insta frame if you want to put the scallops on like I did you will need 3 out of the 5 scallops, it works out perfectly and the left over 2 scallops I used them layering them on the side of the one
photo.. no wasting those great scallops!! haha

Those white flowers are from one of my cuttlebug dies..
and the tiny flowers are by k&company. they matched my inks perfectly..
I have to thank A Cherry on Top for those it was a gift with my last purchase...

I love these word stickers from Authentique..  and the month stamps..I must say I love how they look
in this mini album and will be using them alot in the future!!

Last but not least.. a random photo of the pages together.. .loving how it looks..
So this is just another wonderful way to use up these Unity SMAK stamps for this months kit..
hope you like it and if you are not a member yet you can sign up here.....  http://www.unitystampco.com/product/1268-smak-kit.aspx

This kit will only be available for the next few days.. I believe on the 25th of this month
it will be featuring the new October SMAK kit.. so go grab it.. I know you will have some
fun with this one.. I know I am...

Now to check out who's next on the hop...
the beautiful and talented Jen Buck!!!

Master List today... short and sweet!!

Cardboard Mini Album.

Wednesday Already.. man this week is just flying by.. over at Simply Scrapping Crafts I have this cute Album I have been working on.. for the
.. If you have been over there lately.. you know every third week of the month I am hosting the challenge.. an ABC creative challenge.. and we are on the letter
"C" -CARDBOARD
.. All the different things you can do with some recycled cardboard.. it is truly amazing.
I decided to do this little mini and but some fun photo's of Sydney with her new water gun.. so it is a long post.. photo's and a small tutorial on how I made the Album.

HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE CARDBOARD MINI ALBUM

grab any piece of cardboard,
the one I used is the cardboard from the bottom of a case of cola.
I love that you get the embossed circles as an added texture .

cut your pages. whatever size you want..

All I did for mine was cut the large piece in thirds and them cut the thirds in half.
Now you can stop your album here and just bind it..

or you can go one step further.. just scroll down.

This is the extra step..
you can make different shapes on each of the pages..
I just cut these by hand.. so some of them are wonky but I like the look of a not so perfect album.

to distress, just peel off the top layer of the cardboard to see some
of the corrugated cardboard in the middle.

This is the side view..
you can use the bind it all to bind your album
or just punch 3 holes and use some binder rings.

I love that you can see all the different shape that you can make .
HERE IS THE FINISHED ALBUM
WATER FIGHT

A cool way to keep some summer memories, I love recycling.

{supplies, Ippity Stamps (Unity Stamp Company),
Cosmo Cricket chipboard thrift shop, joy ride, garden variety,
MS inks, Memento ink, dollarama foam sticker letters,
Cosmo Cricket papers,
MME papers.
fabric tape(can't remember the name), bind-it-all.}

I just love how it all turned out. I use just wallet size photo's just in case you were wondering.. I find it perfect for small albums.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Angie
