Sketching it up with the Greeting Farm.

Hello, it's a wonderful Fall day Wednesday..

I have just a little scrapbook page to share with you for the September Scrapbook Challenge over at The Greeting Farm..

When I saw this sketch by Jacilynn over on Jess's Blog.. I couldn't help myself and had to make a layout that day.. it is only taken me a week to post it. I just love my Greeting Farm Scrapbooking stamping kits.. and I used the beautiful polka dot butterfly stamp for this sketch layout. I also used the stamp on the smaller butterflies that I punched out with my MS butterfly punch.

I am just in love with these pipecleaner flowers and one day this summer I made a ton of them with Sydney.. she loved them so much she made some of these cute little flower barrettes ( she is wearing one in the photo),wearing them all day long and making lots more in different colours. .. My Girl got her craft on!!

Happy Anniversary to The Greeting Farm!!

The Greeting Farm is celebrating their 2nd Anniversary with a Blog Hop.. how wonderful is that.. so seeing that I have these wonderful stamps I decided what better way to celebrate by joining in..

I made these cute tag bookmarks that I am giving my nieces for their birthdays just an added gift for the ongoing books they will be reading... Using the stamps from the Roll Call wild sprouts collection 1.. (aren't they just too cute and I had to put some eyeshadow on these girls.. my daughter just loved that about them.) I also used some of the stamps from the Scrapbooking kits.. Sunshine and Spotlight kits to do the background of the tags. loved how that turned out.

Now time to go to the Greeting Farm for the Master list..

The other Anniversay I am celebrating today is with my hubby.. Today is 23 years.. Happy Anniversay Roger.. Love you!!

The Greeting Farm.. Summer Vacation

( Creative Prompts 4U post below)

Oh Sweet Summer.. It has been so hot here in Toronto.. in a way a good thing we have the pool set up in the backyard , so everyday we hang out for a couple of hours and it is refreshing and cool.
At the Greeting Farm we are having a Summer of Fun layouts by the Scrapbooking Design Team.. I so love these kits and the images.. if you haven't gotten the new "Sunshine" Kit.. it is a wonderful kit to make your layouts and cards. Perfect for this time of year.

Now the challenge is all about Summer.. I did this layout about our Summer Vacation Weekend at the cottage.


Sweet Summer

Using some October Afternoon papers,stickers and letters from the Fly a Kite line. I just love anything OA.. so many wonderful images. I stamped the flower image from the "Sunshine" kit and cut them in half to make this small border on the top.. had to bling them up a little too.

I also inked up this dragonfly and coloured it in some of the colours in the patterned paper.I just love this image.. I will be using this over and over again this summer.

This is the cottage view.. I love to see the kids and my mother in law having fun in the lake.. It was a chilly experience , but they really seem to enjoy it.. and even though my family thinks that I am crazy for taking so many photo's on this very weekend.. that is okay.. because at least I have captured moments like these simple pleasure ones.. and I love that.

The Greeting Farm... You are my SUMMER!!

I just love my time at The Greeting Farm.. and these kits are just so much FUN to work with.. I did this layout Using some yummy Cosmo Cricket papers and chipboard pieces.. all from the Joy Ride line.. and then using the stamps from the "Spotlight and the Sunshine" Greeting Farm Scrapbooking kits I inked the images in the same colours as the papers. .. Love how that turned out.

This was the sketch for this weeks Challenge.. the wonderful Claudette did this one and I totally loved creating with it.

You are my Summer.. is only one of the many sentiments that I inked in two different inks and because the ink was so light I went over the stamp with my copic markers.. to make it stand out more.. the flower with the camera is also in the Sunshine kit.. love flowers and I coloured it in my copics and added the camera chipboard.

Don't you just love this bubble.. well this comes in the Sunshine kit as well.. I so love it for journaling.. and those wonderful butterflies are in the Spotlight Kit.. I can't get enough of these butterflies.. !!

The Greeting Farm .. Summer (TIME) challenge

Ah.. Summer is here and it is HOT HOT HOT .. This week over at The Greeting Farm we have a new challenge for you.. Jeanette has challenged us to do a layout using time (watches or/and clocks)using The Greeting Farm stamps.



Here is what I did.


Bring On The Sunshine.

Using my cricut I cut the two image out.. the clock and the little girl having fun in the sand.. this was the A Child's Year cartridge. I distressed it with brown and white inks.. and Using the dragonfly stamp I cut the main body off and used it on the little girl.. love the details in this stamp. I also took the quote and cut the words.. just perfect for these photo's of my daughter at the beach playing in the sand. ..

The Greeting Farm.. Lynda's Sketch!!

Hello Thursday... Today at the Greeting Farm we have this great sketch by our very own Lynda.. isn't is great.. I love it!! Thanks Lynda.



I decided to do a Male theme layout.. seeing that I have a growing boy.. well he is a Man really, he will be 15 years old on the 9th.. where did the time go!! I think I need to scrap him more.. if he would only let me take his photo .. these days I have to sneak up on him to capture a shot. Teenagers.. but he is a good one I know I am very blessed to have him around. So I will be happy with the back of his head or a pillow in front of his face or shots of him running fast away from the camera.. hehe.. honestly this is what he does! But on to my layout.

Using some papers for the Road Trip OA papers and some of the stickers as well this is what I did..

Jump.. Sweet Memories.

The Details.. I used the Sweet Memories stamp.. in black ink and then outlined the paper..

for the stamped stitch parts.. I used the stitch criss cross stamp.. in white I stamped it and on another sheet of scrap paper I stamped it out this way I was left with a faded image.. you see it but I didn't want it to really stand out .. almost like a watermark look.. I love how it turned out..

TGF.. more than just a SUMMER FLING..

Happy Thursday Everyone.. I am having the best time playing around with this "SUNSHINE" Kit... honestly with a little imagination and determination to make things different.. you can alter the images beyond what they were meant to be. Today in my layout I did just that.. taking parts of the Sunshine large flower and making this....

More than just a summer Fling...

The Details...

I wanted to use this fun sentiment because is went so well with my photo's and I just love when that happens.. and then decided to make some cute doodle clouds to embellish it a little more.. love how it turned out. Now for the fun part...

taking the large sunshine flower I stamped it on white cardstock and then with a light blue ink distressed the petals. cutting each one out.. I added some double sided tape to each petal and stuck them behind my large cut shape.. I just love the look it gave.. adding another dimension to my layout. I also have a thing for scallops and this stamp is wonderful for that look.

The Greeting Farm " SUNSHINE ".. for sale NOW!!

Hi Everyone.. Guess What.. Little Dipper... Bring On Summer!

The Details...

for this second title I used the words from to of the sentiment stamps.. I love how you can play around with this set and make other titles for any layout. The dragonfly I stamped out and using different colours of copics I coloured it in to match my patterned papers.

I used that adorable bird and gave it some legs to just stand on the banner.. I just love that this kit had this bird and dragonfly.. Two of my favourite images to stamp.

A Little about the photo's.. this is my sweet daughter Sydney.. When we go to her Opa and Oma's for a visit we sometimes go down to the Lake, where it is more beachy and we skip stones, and dangle our feet in the water.. Usually she won't go near the water.. afraid of falling in. This year though , being the first time this season down there.. she had no problem getting her feet wet, she so wanted to go in the cold water , but no bathing suit or change of clothes... she did manage to get very wet anyways.. thank goodness for dryers at her Mutti's house!! In these photo's she is just the little dipper.. testing the water to see in her words " how wet it is" . Funny girl!!

The Details..

Don't you just love this wonderful flower stamp.. I love it!! and you will see what wonderful images are in store for you when you see the whole set. The Bird also.. I have a thing for flowers, birds and dragonflies.. and this kit has them all.. lots of great flowers!! yippee!!

This criss cross stitch image is a great one too. I am sure I will be using this alot.

I now have to tell you alittle about my layout.. this is my daughter Sydney and she is holding this sweet puppy Gizmo... Honestly since she was a small little baby.. dogs would send her over the top.. she would scream and scream for hours if one came near her.. and this was what we dealt with everyday since a month and a bit ago.. even if a dog walked by we would have to pick her up and she would climb us until she was almost sitting on our heads...haha.. not really!! Then she met Gizmo.. and they became good friends ...almost love at second okay maybe third sight!! It is a dear friends dog and she is smitten with it..she dreams and thinks about it all the time.. funny how she is still scared of every other dog but Gizmo has a little spot in her heart!! Totally Sweet and I got these great photo's of the two of them on the weekend. I thought it would be a great layout to share a story.. hopefully she will love looking back on this in a few years. Puppy Love does exist!!

TGF...Flowers.. Galore

Oh well maybe one more from the Spotlight Kit!! Today it is a great challenge.. one right up my alley.. and if any of you know how much I just love flowers.. and butterflies well I just thought this was so perfect!!

The Challenge for The Greeting Farm SB...is to use Flowers, Flowers, Flowers Galore!! and of course with your TGF stamps!! How easy and wonderful it that!
I had no photo's of this babe and was so glad on Tuesday that she let me take a few of her and her wonderful dress up Lei's.. It is always hard and I know you know what I mean to have them just once take a photo with a smile.. and it must of taken me 15 shots of her to just get one.. but even when she is not smiling , she is the perfect subject . Honestly I could just take photo after photo of her!!

Once Upon A Time...

To me the title speaks volumes and the story is always different and a continuous flow of awful ever afters and happy ever afters . Just depends on the day.. today was a good one. She is and will always be my Princess after all.

The flower are all homemade.. and the tutorial is here for the basic flower...
the only difference is the center rolls.. all you do is when you have the left over torn paper scraps from the circle.. you just roll them, I layered two colours and them glued them on to the additional flower center.. I love that you can play around with one flower and make it look different using different centers. Love that!!

I inked the Grid stamp from the "Spotlight " Kit all the way across the paper.. and with some green ink I inked up that most wonderful butterfly stamp.. I love this stamp!! Okay I love all the stamps in this kit.

TGF- Sketch Challenge... ohhhh by ME!!

Oh I can't believe this is the last post for this "Spotlight" Scrapbooking Kit from The Greeting Farm.. WOW.. it is just amazing how fast the time has gone.. and I still love using this kit and I am sure that you will see me sneaking some of the stamps in other projects.. I love the images that much.. A must buy if you have not purchased it yet.. you are just gonna love this kit!!

This weeks challenge is a sketch that I did... yippee.. my first one for TGF.. I am so excited to see what the other girls have come up with using this sketch. The Details..

Using my handy dandy sewing machine I did the border on the orange cardstock.. I love this look.. I used some fun MME papers and the star and spotlight stamp from the "Spotlight Kit". some of the other stars are Sass.. these photo's were taken this past Monday.. it was Victoria day.. a holiday to kick off this hot weather... lol.. These are my kids having some sparkler fun.. they just love these fun times.. and I just love taking photo's of it!! WIN WIN!!

TGF... buttons!!

Time for this weeks TGF Scrapbooking Challenge... Buttons.. Buttons.. Buttons!!

Last week I received Sydney's spring school photo.. and she smiled in this one!! I was so happy. The first school photo she had a sad, sad confused at why a total stranger was taking a photo of her and not her mother face.. and we didn't take the package, even though secretly I wanted too!!
I was thrilled that she smiled for this one.. and I just had to create a layout using this photo..

The Details..

using the grid stamp.. I just decided to use one of them for the top with one of those black and white butterflies.. I love the butterfly stamp!!

Seeing that the challenge this week was to use buttons, buttons, buttons.. I used these purple buttons to create a border on the side of the photo.. and one for the top butterfly. I had these great K&Company die cut flowers and the colours were just too perfect for this layout. So I cut them in half and inked the edges.. layered them and placed the photo on top.. just love this look with the added butterflies.

The Greeting Farm Scrapbook Colour Combo!!

Oh this has been a great week for Colour Combo's.. and this weeks SB Greeting Farm challenge is up and what a great combination of colours to inspire you. You will have to go check it out!!

The Details..

I am telling you if you have not already gotten this scrapbooking / stamping kit.. you will have to grab one now.. I am just amazed at all the projects you can do with these stamps.. I must say this grid pattern stamp is one of my favourites.. I think I can use it over and over and never get bored of it.. a must have!!.



I just love the look of this stamp in the light green ink.

And the cutest stars ever.. I first stamped my white card stock and them on then on the light blue paper I stamped it again.. taking the butterfly stamp inking it in a darker green I lightly stamped on top of the stars for a texture. love how this turned out.. here is a closer look.
