Friends with Flair

This week I decided to do something in my art journal, it has been a long time since I picked this one up! I was  very inspired by using some embossing folders for my background! So using my cuttlebug and some white card stock I began my task! Covering the background in all different patterns but because it was all white, it was perfect .. Almost looking like a stencil! 

  

I am so loving the look of all the layered white on white! 

Using some of the past Unity SMAK  Kit of the Months .

I love the clustered look of these pages!! I love the look of the added stamps in a lighter colour instead of black all the time!

Authentique Color Challenge for October

Hello, It is another month creeping up so fast on us already....

 The Colour Challenge for October is over on the

Authentique Paper Blog,

Did you join us last month.. I find these color challenges are so much fun.

This month I decided to create a mini album

Using this beautiful collection "Peaceful"

I just love these colours, and using some doily inspired elements

 for a shabby clean vintage look.

 and the colour pallet is outstanding.

 

 

 

Here are the inside pages of my mini Album .  

Using a variety of Die cuts from Spellbinders,a variety of different punches

 and my Cricut Cartridges, I layered them on top

of the variety of patterned papers from the Peaceful collection..

 adding sticker elements and words

from the same collection.. it all went so perfectly.

 

I will fill the pages with photo's this winter, I love that the album is ready and all I will need to do is add photo's to it. I hope you come on over and link up your projects using these colours.

for this image.. or any wreath image.  Colouring with my copics, and adding

my signature Studio G clear glitter glue to the insides of the poinsettia's

I also attended Scrapfest in Oshawa Ontario , last weekend, got to meet some amazing

people.. and a Unity fan, I loved that!! here are some pictures of my weekend.

AHHH... I love Vicki Boutin, she is one amazing person inside and out.

I was also one of the Artista's in this kit.. the stamps that are made by myself are the following,

the arrow heart, the geotag heart word and the geotags ( if you are not sure what a geotag is here is the defination.... geo tag or geo tagging  is the process of adding geographical identification metadata to various media such as a geotagged photograph or video, websites,)



I am so into these blues, aquas, I just can't seem to get enough of this colour.

Using some pretty blue washi tapes from MME, and my new favourite glittery tape from

American Crafts.. I think I need more!

The {I AM} letter stickers are from Authentique, and the punch is an EK Success border punch.

10 Things you might not know about me...??

1. I am one of 9 kids, the middle child. I broke the chain.. but I guess I might be the only

one in my family to really notice that fact. it was boy, girl, boy , girl.. then ME... and then it continued boy, girl, boy girl... see.. totally the middle child. haha

2. I live in Canada.. was born in Guyana, South America, came to Canada when I was 5 years old

I have never gone back. I am totally 100% Canadian.

3. I have not read a book in 6 years, I love to read but I just can't seem to concentrate long enough.  

4. I am 48 years of age... Married for 25 years.. but you might already know that one..

5. I lost a baby in my late 30's during my 4th month of Pregnancy.. not sure what happened..?? there was nothing in the sack.. I was heartbroken , but strong willed and got over the loss fast.

God only gives you what you can handle.. I am a true believer of that..  Faith.

6. I am a Lutheran, I love God, but I keep it to myself.. I use to go to church all the time.. every Sunday growing up.. I love my church.. When I was to get married, we went to my husbands church.. the Pastor had a hard time because my hubby didn't attend church every Sunday. ..so we didn't get married in that church.. instead my mom made a phone call to my

childhood Lutheran Church.. and my Pastor welcomed us with open arms.

Now that is a beautiful thing.

7. I am so not wearing glasses, I have them.. but they make me feel short.. I know silly right.

but when I wear them I honestly feel this way.. so I only wear them when I am desperate..haha

8. True story.. I had a dream when I started buying Unity Stamps.. I was a stalker.. I admit it, every week I would wait for Thursday to come around, so I can chit chat with the Unity Peeps.. I even made a mini album with old photo's of Unity , I would write how much I dreamed of working for them.. well here I am years later and working for the same company I loved at first site.

9. I don't drive.. will never drive.. I have vivid dreams of being thrown out of a car on the highway.. so I get chauffeured around by my hubby , friends and family.. or I walk.. I love to walk!!

10. I have a fear of swimming in the deep end. I just won't go.. strange ,but I did as a child get all my badges.. and now as an adult I won't go .. even in the shallow end I like to have a floaty with me.

 

so leave me a little tid bit about you.. I would love to get to know you all better too.

Project Life week 26-31

 

Well, day 2 of Project Life.. see only one day late..haha.

so I kept with the same photo album from Walmart.. these are 6x4 photo sleeves

I used Simple Stories for my Cover and inside cover. I love it!!

 

Here are the introduction pages. I decorated with some 6x6 papers from different companies.. using some white diecuts from my Cricut, Stamps from Unity and diecuts from spellbinders.

Vegas Baby... my sisters and mom travelled to meet up with 2 of my brothers in Vegas, we were spoiled by my older brother Mike with our flight, and the hotel from my other brother at the Caesars Palace.. VIP with tons of perks. We went to see Celine Dion it was fabulous.

. This was one amazing time.. even though it was also very surreal sometimes.. it was full of good memories. I will never forget this trip.. and hope we can do this again.

 for a long time in the coming years.

Well now I need to try to catch up, I have about 5 weeks of photo's printed.. I just need time

to put it all together.. I am finding the system of using different papers per week is working

for me, I love seeing all the different papers, and I also love using my 6x6 paper pads up..

I find that I hardly buy 12 x12 papers.. strange but true.

 

Hope to be back in a couple of weeks with more Project Life..

oh... and I already started getting my December Daily Album going.

I will be using alot of My Minds Eye I just love the look of the light aqua blues.

I will post some photo's of my bare album next month. will need to get some

more goodies for this project.. Any else doing December Daily??

Project Life update!!

I know I totally slacked off on this area...
I think I even got myself confused ...

Not knowing what photos went with what week.
 But, I finally came around and at least one book is done,
The other one is a work in progress... I will get myself all updated though,

So for the next two days I will be showing you where I left off with my Project Life.

Enjoy the many photos, ha ha
Just so you know , this Album has changed as you will notice I am using
some of my older papers from My Minds Eye towards the end. I thought I should use up my
on going stash.. and because I cut my papers just alittle bigger than 4x6
it was perfect to just go ahead and do it this way.
In my second Album I totally used a different company for each week and really love how
it all turned out.. I find Project Life you might start with one thing in mind .. but
towards the end you change it up totally to suit your need to make the process easier
on yourself. I know this is me ...  always experimenting.

Now this completes one Album for this year, I already decorated the outside of the
second Album using some Simple Stories and you will see tomorrow.
Using my 6x6 paper pads to createmy little inserts.
 I promise to share, but I also know myself.. it might be once a month...
Life gets busy.. some day's too busy to keep up with every week.
But, I do have a system of documenting my photo's every week on my instagram
