Summer Blog Hop.. creating is FUN !!

are celebrating with a summery blog hop.

I just love all the fabulous.. and I mean FABULOUS

colours of lace Martha carries..

from red , oranges, blues, greens, yellows and those lovely neutrals.

i love them ALL......

I made this SUmmer inspired card using

a piece of yellow cardstock base for my card

and adding these colourful laces on top.

I just love the look and with the addition

of some diecut and  punched borders it was just

perfect.... true happiness like the sentiment

from Unity /Authentique stamps.

I also have this fun Unity Stamp of the week to show you..

 Using more of the pretty lace to enhance

the papers.. I just love the added texture you get..

To hold the lace down on your papers here is my tip....

 I used some Helmar 450 quick dry glue.. you just need a small dab and like magic

your lace is held on within seconds.

 It also doesn't leave a clumpy

mess and gives a clean finish to your project. ..

Exciting News... I am AUTHENTIQUE!!

 Yes... that is Authentique as in Paper!!!

I am so excited to share this news with you all!!

I was thrilled to open my email a couple of weeks ago to see
a sweet note from Emily the DT coordinator for Authentique..
She was kind enough to offer me a position on the design team.
Well, I just love everything about Authentique and I guess this would give me the push
to use up all that stash I was hording.. haha

I just love this sketch.. and here is my layout .

Using Unity May Kit of the Month stamps, I used the camera and the sentiment live each day.

the papers are Pink Paislee and Basic Grey, flowers are Prima with vintage glass buttons, and some Martha Stewart punched shapes to finish it off. letters are Thickers and Pink Paislee.  with lots of Tim Holtz distress inks in vintage photo and spun sugar. colouring done with copics.

ink is tumbled glass distress ink by Tim Holtz, the adhesive is Helmar 450 quick dry...

you can see how clear it holds the lace down .. it is the best!!

Creating is FUN Mother's Day BLOG HOP.

 Hello everyone, welcome to another one of our fun blog hops.

 here is the project I made today..

I think my Mom will like this alot!!

cause she is one FABULOUS woman!!

I decoupaged the frame using papers from the Fabulous line by Simple Stories..  the decoupage is by Helmar.. one of my favourite companies for adhesive and mixed media products like the decoupage.

 for Martha's lace I decoupaged it all on layering it on top of each other.. but the ends were left alone.. so just the tops of the lace were adhered.  I also put some scraps of lace in different

sizes and textures on the frame it self.. using the decoupage. this stuff holds the lace perfectly, but once dry you can still see the lace without the glue on top.. love that!!

Do you celebrate Valentines day.. ?? I know some do and some don't.. in my family we do it more for the kids.. I think as you get older and have been married for so long.. you know already what your love means to you.. it should be an everyday thing.. so a kiss on the lips.. a nice dinner ( cause it is a working day and school day)  and off we go to the 15th..

I still made a cute little card for the hubby..

 maybe it is a little girly but he is going to get it anyways..haha

my thoughts was to wrap some pink ribbon around a heart.. and this beautiful satin

ribbon from Martha's Creating is FUN zibbet shop was perfect.

then using helmar glue.. I added the pink lace  on the top and bottom, adding some

brown seam binding to tie it all in.. to me it looks like a heart box of chocolate..

so that is why I use the rich chocolate brown cardstock!

here are more detailed photo's.. using some papers from Basic Grey Love Struck!!

 just love the colours.. and these ribbons and trims just made it look so extra special and beautiful.

Creating Is FUN!!

Hello Monday, it is Monday right??

For the last week I just can't seem to get the days straight. haha

Good start to the new year.. I am losing my mind. Okay, nothing new there.

You have to laugh at yourself sometimes!!

Well today is the a special day..

I was asked by my wonderful friend Martha

to join her team of Designers for her new

Zibbets store

Creating is Fun.

Martha has a variety of lace, ribbons, buttons, and baker's twine in  her shop.. and the best prices I have ever seen. Fantastic quality and a variety to choose from.

Using some lace trim I made this fabulous birthday card.

 just beading some Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive along the card the

 lace was easy to stick to the card in seconds..

I wanted to use some of my Unity Stamps from different KOM's to get a collage feel for my card.

I love how all the elements came together.. and the lace is the perfect touch for this card.

So go check Martha's store out.. you will be amazed at all the wonderful product, and  how affordable it is.
