Friends with Flair...

TGIF!!!  I am happy today is Friday, I have been sick and I think my allergy meds are just

starting to kick in.. it has been crazy insane.. but it is Friday.. and that means

it is Friends with Flair with Unity Stamp Company!!

I have 2 projects to share today.. the first being this door stamp.. I love it!!

I actually used a sticker and stamped the main door image right on top of it..

I believe it is from the Bella Blvd  Finally Fall Journaling Sticker sheet.

love the wood grain and it was easy to just paper piece and stick on !!

Hope you are all well, this week I am suffering with allergies.. driving me crazy!!

Usually I am good but with the weather being so weird it is starting early.. yuck..

ON a good note.. I have this little art canvas to share.. Using  the butterflies from the

previous SMAK kit.. if you are still interested in this kit you will have to look under

previous SMAK kits on the Unity website..

This canvas is just 4x4 , I am loving this size.. so easy to get it done FAST!! 

 You know when you just need to paint and so art.. it is not overwhelming at all.

the butterfly was paper pieced, coloured with Faber Castell Big pitt pens, and adhered with Helmar

Decoupage.. I just love this stuff!!  Those sunflowers were found at the dollarama..

gotta love the dollar store..

Here is the March 2012 SMAK kit!!

Here is a card I made using those cute balloons.. these were paper pieced, distressed with Tim Holtz Distressing inks and the addition of some stickles glitter glue for the edges.

Art Tuesday.. Like really ??.. I am thrilled!!

Lately I have just been over the MOON.. crying, joyful, happy as can be.. it never seems to stop

you would think I am pregnant or something..haha.. NOT ,( that would just freak my husband out.. and my tubes are tied so no chance of that ever happening...)  it has been an emotional ride.. so here I am getting

a little personal about these babies..  For such a long time I wanted to do something creative, but

not knowing how to actually get to the place where I could get my babies out there..

My babies... you are probably thinking.. is this girl nuts..

My babies.. meaning my stamp designs..

you know you submit.. and submit.. but it takes time to really get the hang of what might

be seen.. well this year has been so awesome for me.. I let go of my images.. and then

every month I see one pop out in these kits.. I am overjoyed with excitement.. every time

I get them in the mail it is like they are coming home to me.. I know that must sound strange.

they are only stamps.. but I put so much thought and love into them, that they are actually part of me.

A part that I want seen and I want to share with all of you... I am so blessed to have Unity by my side. I just hope you like these as much as I do!!

So first off.. no more gushy stuff...

This kit was only released yesterday..

 The new S.M.A.K. kit.. " me documented"

Now this kit is made up of images by Unity Artista's Joslyn Nielson and Myself... yippee..

The images I made are the film strip, the typewriter keys and the documented sentiments in the typewriter script the rest are brilliantly made my Joslyn..

 I think Angela picked some amazing images for this kit.

.. I was thinking I would love to use the script images  for my Project Life

 and in December for my December Daily.  So if you are doing those projects these will be used

alot.. for those things.. also loving that you can do so many layouts of yourself.. To document

how you live your life today for your family to cherish later in life.  I so love that!!

I am also thrilled about this baby that came out this month in the

 Unity March KOM..

I have a thing for banners and was thrilled to see my image in this months kit with 2 more images.. and a couple of sentiments..  here is a sneak of this one..

 I just love this kit so much!!

Well it is nice to see my babies come home to Mama.. I will tell you , I do cherish every one of them.

I hope to document them in a layout to show my kids.. " hey, look what Mommy did" at the ripe age of 47...  see it is never too late in life to have a dream and go for it..

Art Tuesday.. for the Craft Area..

This past weekend, my hubby made me something I have been dreaming of

for quite some time.. A craft table..

this is him and Alex outside cutting all the wood and building my table..

here is the first look at what it will look like..

we finished building it all on Sunday.

  by the end of Sunday night it was painted, varnished and ready for my morning where I set it all up.

Here is it from looking into my room.. I am in love with it.. Thanks to my uber wonderful crafty handymen.. Roger and Alex.

did I also tell you he treated me to the new iPad...

i am feeling spoiled by him.. grateful for everything he does for me..

I also got a fun new app called adobe idea's thanks to Claudine Hellmuth for telling me the name.. and even thought this is not a greatly sketched image.. I think it is fun..

Art Tuesday.. pretty WILD!!

Hello, it has been a long time since I did a post.. due to being sick on and off for a month..

I am happy to say I am a little better.

 I joined the ART of Wild Abandonment. An online class from the teachings

of Junelle Jacobson and Christy Tomlinson.. I am so excited that this class has started.

the first thing I did was make some books.. using sketch Art paper and Watercolour paper.. I eventually will make one using Acrylic paper as well.. The sketch Art one I am sure to be

using alot..so I have a ton of pages in there.

once I am finished I will decorate the cover.. for now I am going to leave it just plain.

So looking at all the instructional videos late last night

I came up with 3 sketches and 6 mini sketches..

Here they are..

now using some watercolours.. I have a pallet of blocks and pencils.. I think I am gearing more towards the pencils.. well for at least more of the images.

Here is my colouring.. It is harder to work on the sketch paper , so today I am going to do some on watercolour paper to see the difference.
