FWF .. Liz Hicks!!

TGIF!!! Crazy cold here in Toronto .. To keep warm I paint... So this is what 

I made yesterday after coming home from lunch duty at school:) 

 I am just loving all the new releases this weekend!! One of them is the Liz Hicks backgrounds.. 

I used this one on a small canvas. By first stamping on the canvas.. Adding transparent paint then stamping the letter background again and paper piecing it to the canvas adhering it with mod podge!  

 Using my Faber Castell big Pitt pens I coloured the numbers .. The Insta LOVE stamp is an itty bitty. By Joslyn Nielson and Lesley Langdon . I just love this stamp!!

Project Life Week #3

Here are my pages..

Week# 3 of Project Life.

I decided to do this week using my Unity Stamp Company

SMAK kits.. I do love these kits so much,

I also design the images for these kits

with Project Life and Mini Albums in mind.

Here is one side of my Project Life.

I used two kits to get what I wanted, the December SMAK and the January SMAK,  some of the border stamps.. the round tags and the word phrases.

All so perfect to mix them up... they all go so well together.

On my journaling pocket.. I cut one of the circle tags in half to use as a decorative tab..

There are 3 designs in the January SMAK kit so you can really change them up for the entire year.

My second page I did most of my stamping layering one stamp very close to the other for a layered

border effect. Then using some fabric washi tape, and paper elements to add . I am loving the wood Veneer from Studio Calico.. you can't have enough... haha
Using light and dark coloured inks so it all comes together without looking busy.

the other part of that cut circle tag i popped into the photo's for extra journaling.

so you can just pull it out.

SOTW ... Hello Pretty

Project Life Week 2 .... done!!

 Lookie, lookie... Week 2 of Project Life done..haha..

on a roll..

So in my previous post I told you I am doing my Album

Scrapbooking the pages.. Using my Instagram photo.

This is an 8x5 x 11 layout.. so it is not overwhelming at all.

 

This week I Incorporated on of my Unity Stamps

inked up in Momento's  espresso Truffle.. my new favourite ink colours.

it is a brown grey.. I just love it.

 

 Using a pocket I made out of Simple Stories Sn@p collection,

some of the printables from my Studio Calico Day by Day class,

and the other elements are made by me.. which is the typewriter,

 tabs, and awesome tag.  I am having fun using my own ART in

this years PL. Cost efficient for sure.

 

So here is Week 2, 2013

 

 

In the pocket I hold my weeks journaling that I am typing out on my typewriter,

 that is why I wanted a small typewriter image ..

I will have these in different colours for every week. FUN. 

It also holds extra photo's of the week with journaling on the back..

and I also included this little

mini book with my new line of stamps..

 Angie Girls that is exclusive with Unity Stamp Company.

My first official LINE.. I am very excited..

Hello Thursday.. what a wonderful day this will be.

Today you get to check out my newest line of stamps ... Angie Girls

I love them.. they are all so special to me..  I am hoping they will be just as special to you.

I know my daughter is so excited to have these in stamp form so she can colour them in

as much as she wants.. I just love that!!

I am not going to chat to much... cause I am sort of speechless..
But maybe not... We will see!!

I am so excited, I couldn't even cook last night.. haha

I actually made this one spare of the moment

I just wanted her to have something special for her Birthday.

I am so honoured to have her in my life.. She is my blessing.

She has made many of my dreams come true.

So I just had to honour her with this creation.

with it.. She loves to dress up in costumes.. and loves

Valentines so this one is perfect for that occasion.

Named after Andrea Murdock one of

the Unity DT's.. and a wonderful friend!! and Andrea from the Unity Offices..

she is just so good to me always.. I want to hug her , I love her so much. ..

 we do  not garden we both have black thumbs ... hehe

so this is our inspiration to grow something in our imaginations.. haha

I made this Art piece on an oval canvas my hubby

bought me for Christmas.. I am loving the shape,

I think I need more!!  All I did was colour and paper piece

this , coloured my canvas them mod podged the paper pieced

Andi girl on... so easy and beautiful !! Using some Christy Tomlinson

stamps for the background.

Now we have Sadie Girl

I have a beautiful sister named

Sadie.. I admire her so much and thought

this was her.. the ultimate and wonderful mother

that she is.. best cook and friend.

I do love my sisters.. and eventually they will

all be a part of the Angie Girl collection.



 Now we have the last girl.. Lizzi Girl

She is too cute.. I just love the name Lizzi.

She loves to jump in puddles and play in the rain..

I have been known to call on friends to just come out

and jump in the puddles with me.. I just love the rain

and think it is wonderful to get all wet and have fun.

And just look how wonderful she looks on a layout!!  

so I had to have her in here..

I am excited to have this wonderful opportunity to show my girls to you..

I hope you have as much fun with them as I do.. I hope if you have girls of any age

love the craft we love so much. Well that is my dream to have us girls represented

in our every day lives.. whether it be a dress up girls, working girls to us mommy girls..

we all deserve to shine.

Angie Girls will be the beginning of something AMAZING for all of us!!

haha.. see I can't stop talking..

I just have so much in my head to share.. all the time.

my poor husband.

My Stamp Design Page... have you seen them. ??

Hi Everyone, just wanted for you to check out my  Stamp Design Page..

 

If you don't know already I am a stamp Designer ( Artista) for Unity Stamp Company.

The owners Angela and Christian Magnuson are wonderful .

 I just love how personal and

super supportive they are.

 I have been designing for just over a year for them..

 My first stamp came out July of 2011.. even though in 2011, I only had 4 stamps released I was still in high spirits that one day I would get more released.

Sometimes you need to wait for all to fall into place.

 In 2012 I was very excited that Unity Released closer to 200 individual stamps.

( this includes images and sentiments. )

Within that time I think I have grown in my style, I have practiced to be the best

I can be.. I am more of a free hand artist so you might not see too many straight

lines.. but they are me.. MY BABIES each and every one of them.

I hope all the Unity fans out there really like them .

 

So now it is 2013.. I have some personal goals.. hoping to get twice that number in

stamps released this year.. and I think if I can keep on doing what I love best it might happen.

Faith.. I have a lot of it. haha.  Patience not so much.. haha

Project Life Week 1 of 2013

Hello, welcome to my Project Life 2013

I am hoping to have lots of fun with this project this year

I am doing it differently this year.. Using just an

8.5 x 11 binder, 4 inch D-ring that I purchased from Staples.

The binder comes with a clear pocket on the front.. this is where

I added a piece of white cardstock and my from cover design.

I also did the side of my binder. 

 

 

 

The sheet protectors are a heavy duty page protector by Avery that I get in the

office supply section at Walmart. the monthly inserts I am using are

Martha Stewart .. These I cut to only have half the size, the top will have

the month ( Simple Stories Sn@p)  and the bottom will have a Family Photo of

the 4 of us.. every month I will try to repeat this.. to see how we all change during the month.

 

 

I was also going to do some of  My Artwork throughout this years album.

I want it to do a monthly banner to start the month off ... I think it will also be

awesome to get some of my stamp designs on these pages.. 

 

 

 On the inside of this I have a collage of the last 2 weeks of December.. these I am using an app

on my ipad called PhotoShake.. this is also how I will keep track of my weeks so I never get confused

about the photo's. Cause reality is I will get behind at some point.. I know myself.. haha

 

 

So here is Week 1...DONE!!!!!  

These are both done on 8.5x11 white 110 lb cardstock that I get from Staples.

You get a package of 250 sheet for less than $20.00 ... I think I have enough.

Some of these elements are from the class I am taking called Day by Day

Studio Calico was offering it last year ( the class in now closed) . I got some

wonderful print outs, cut files and lots of inspiration from many designers, oh

and a free stamp which I am hoping to have by the end of the week.

Then I also made some small cards and other elements myself. 

 

 

Every week I will have a pocket ( these are from Simple Stories Sn@p)  I will also

make my own.. these pockets will hold all my journaling that I am actually

typing everyday.. I am going to love my typewriter!! 

 

 

It will also hold my collage photo from the week

I really love this alot..

 

 

I will also add some quotes once in a while if I see something that

speaks to me.. this one I saw in the Project Lifers  group on facebook.

It was one someone found on Pinterest.  

 

 

So I am keeping it simple this year.. my photos are all Instagram style

so they will be squares instead of 4x6 .. much easier to use

and I can print 4 at a time on one sheet of photo paper ( satin finish Staples brand) ..

which is GREAT!!!

I already have my next week ready for photo's.. that will be the great thing about this

Project Life.. I can set up pages ahead of time, then just add the photo's .
