Gray is the New Black.. Moxie Fab.

I am taking the challenge.. and I am loving all the creativeness out there.. my mojo is pumped up.. and what better way to celebrate a" Mommy Me Monday"than to get creative.. so I created this layout for the Moxie Fab World Challenge.. Gray is the New Black.

Using some dark gray cardstock I stitched around the edges with my machine.. the squares are some grey and white dot paper by October Afternoon.. Cherry Hill. I cut them 3x3.. distressed the edges and did some more sewing.. the photo is an older one of the kids.. Alex is giving his little sister a love hug.. The beautiful edge stamp is from Ippity.. from the Cherish your Dreams stamp kit. The heart is also an Ippity stamp from the Here and Now kit.. the words inside say family.. I just love it stamped on scrap photo paper in gray memento ink. I also diecut the butterfly is a cb diecut and I used the pasley folder to emboss , the love is from a cricut cartrigde my hubby gave me using some Helmar 3-D glue to adhere.. I added some silver glitter glue dots and bling.. I love how it turned out and I love the gray colours.

I cut the flowers using my Forever Young Cartridge by Cricut.. the frame is from the Lacy Labels Cartridge and the stamp togetherness is Ippity from the set Here and Now

FWF.. with a PDC challenge

WOW.. did this Friday ever come fast.

I am glad it is here ..Today is Friends with Flair Friday over at Unity Stamp Company.. a day where all us (stalkers,hehe) Unity customers can share some of our projects with everyone. I love FWF!!

I am playing with the colour challenge over at the Play Date Cafe.. I haven't done many challenges so this will be something good to start this year. Using these colours was a little unusual.. I like that.. I had to put my thinking cap on.

Lawnscaping...

Did you know there is a new Challenge Blog in town!!

It is called Lawnscaping.. if you guessed that it has to do something with Fawn Lawn you guessed right. I just love all of Kelly's stamps . I stalk her blog all the time. New Year Resolutions..

Have you made any??

I have made a few.. simple ones that I know I can keep.

Why stress , and make ones you can't.. right?
This year I am getting back to FAMILY!!

Last year I had way too many things on my plate, too many projects to get done

and the family suffered... well this year it is time to change this.

1. I am only Guest Designing for one company.. and I love it!!

would love to stay on.. and putting it out in the Universe just in case.

2. I am going to pick up a book and actually read it.. It has been just before Sydney was born that I have actually read something, now that she is in school I have no excuses.

3. I am going to dance my pant off.. honestly it is fun , I love it and I will be determined to lose some giggle in the middle... you know what I mean..

4. I am going to cut down of spending.. oh this one is a hard one.. but I have no money so it should be easy..hehe..

5. and the most important one.. I am going to have ADVENTURES.. lots and lots of adventures

I want this year to be about getting out of this house and doing things..

Small and meaningful events that will make the memories of our small family become BIG!!

So these are my resolutions for 2011..

So this was yesterday.. and our ...

SNOW ADVENTURE!!

we live right across from a park and large field....

so today we are having some fun just across the street... yippee!!

Yes , we played Soccer. why not? It was fun running around ( I felt it later that night).

We got our snow gear on and had a great time. Sydney was so happy to play soccer.





We made snow angels....

I even got down and made one too.. haven't done that in years!!

A true artist will also make snowmen in the snow... so we got sticks and drew ourselves some snowmen.. this was so much FUN!!

Then we both got down on hands and knees and rolled large snowballs..I am sure the cars driving by were thinking look at those two strange people.. rolling around in the park.. but we were having way too much fun, can't you tell ?!!

We took these snowballs back to the house.. and built us our very own

FRO-MAN... yes.. a snow man with a big AFRO.. haha

now look at that pout of concentration.. all worth the effort.

So this was one of the many Adventures in store for this year. I am going to appreciate these little moments.. I will capture them .. and enjoy this time with my Family...

2011... Cherish your Dreams

I wanted to do my first layout for 2011.. and this sketch for today's challenge was just Fabulous!!

It is easy enough to change up your card sketches and make them into sketches for your layouts, and the stamps from Cherish Your Dreams are wonderful embellishments for your layout as most of the Ippity stamps are..

Using the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 papers in the 6x6 paper pack were also a bonus for this photo that I took of myself on New Years Day.. I am one of those people that love to document myself at the beginning of the year.. and see how I change over time. I hope if you are a card maker of scrapbooker you will give this sketch a try . Project Life.. 365

Project Life.. 365

This is the beginnings of my Project Life for 2011..

the first page I did somewhat like what Ali Edwards did with hers.. I was thinking of adding family photo's of each of us on January 1st, it was so perfect for our first page of this album.. cause there are 4 spots and 4 of us.. I love how it all turned out. So here is my front page.. did a little scrapping with some of the plain large decorative spots that came in the kit. Wanted to make it my own style.

I wanted to start my album on a Monday and keep the weekends together, so the first page is a recap of some of the December Moments I captured and then I started with 2 photo's of January 1st and one of January 2nd.. this way tomorrow it will all be as I wanted to start my weeks.

For my journaling this is my method. I will use my word processor to keep all my journaling. this way I can just print out the sheets and save them everyday. easy and I really don't like my handwriting, so to not waste my journaling spots this is my way. I also like the clean look of it.

Did you see the video of Becky explaining Project Life.. well if you are interested in doing this project don't worry about stressing out about not doing everyday.. it is all up to you to make the album work for you.. so not stress on taking a photo everyday, it can be whatever you want. I think I will start off with trying to keep up with a photo everyday.. but I am sure some days will take over and I will have 3 photo's of one day and just a few of the others.. cause that is just me.

I want to really do this album, I am so excited about the process.. and seeing what everyone else does with it.. So first goal for this year is to keep Project Life going my own way!

I am using the Project Life kit from last year.. I got it on Amazon.com black friday for a great price and had my brother bring it to me over the holidays.. but they have the new ones there to purchase HERE.

Can't wait to see what everyone else is doing.. if you are doing this let me know I want to take a peek..hehe. It's the Leo in me. Have a great day.
