I got my Paper Crafts Magazine in the mail on Thursday , and some some great cards.

some of the cards inspired me to create my card today. I love how it all turned out.

Stampin' Bella Challenge

Taking a Stampin'Bella Challenge today.

I just love her stamps and this one from Mo Manning is one of my favourites.. perfect for any occasion, but today I made it for a Valentine's card for my sister.

I just love how sneaky the sister is with her finger over her head.. totally cuteness. The sentiment I printed off on my computer.

This weeks challenge is to make a Valentines day card with any Bella stamp. I am hoping to get some more of these beauties in April at ScrapFest in Kitchener Ontario. Yeah for Bella loveliness.

TGIF.. Marah Johnson ROCKS!! FWF

Friends With Flair

Today I did a layout using some fabulous images Unity and co brand Marah Johnson

When I first saw this stamp set.. my heart went a flutter.. I just loved it all.

Well to my surprise my hubby went on line and bought it for me.. lucky girl I am to have such a wonderful partner in life.

Well this is my layout with the stamps from the

Art and Soul kit.

I wanted to do a layout of all the design teams I was so privileged to be a part of in 2010. They all had a big part of nurturing my creative spirit and I wanted to document it for when I am older and need a reminder of all the things I got to do in my lifetime.

Using Martha Stewart's butterfly punch for the fluttering butterflies... I love butterflies!!

I also used some of these wonderful Webster pages bloomer ribbon.. I have to say I just love these and need all the colours, hehe.

This is one of those wonderful kits that will be used alot so if you have not checked out all the wonderful Marah Johnson stamps you really should. oh did I tell you it is also huge.. 8.5x11 sheet of fabulous Unity Rubber!!
Gotta give a big Thanks to the hubby for always thinking of me!

Lemon Garlic Shrimp with Alfredo on Linguini Noodles

OH YUM..

I made this for Dinner Last night and had leftovers for lunch today.

Total comfort food if you like shrimp. For my hubby I breaded some pork, he is not a shrimp lover like the rest of the family.

Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Alfredo on Linguine Noodles

Lemon Garlic Shrimp

You will need.

frozen shrimp, thawed, peeled and ready to go I used about 40 small shrimp.

2 large cloves of garlic minced

1/2 fresh lemon to squeeze

fresh basil and parsley

salt to taste

1 tablespoon butter

in a pan heat up butter and garlic. cook for about 2 minutes not burning the garlic

add your shrimp, basil and parsley

cook turning the shrimp to cook on all sides

squeeze the fresh lemon juice on top

cook until the shrimp is pink and pretty

this only takes 5 -6 minutes to make.. easy peasy!!

Alfredo Sauce

you will need

3 cloves of garlic minced

butter

half and half cream

milk

salt, white pepper

Parmesan and Romano cheese blend

( i get this at the Italian store where they have it grounded fresh)

parsley fresh or dry

in a medium sized pan add butter and garlic, cook for 2 minutes not burning the garlic

add about a cup of half and half and a cup of milk

boil on medium heat stirring the pot frequently

add white pepper

add cheese blend about 1 cup of cheese

stir constantly this mixture will thicken quickly

add parsley and salt to taste.

serve on your favourite pasta

put your Alfredo sauce on top and add the lemon garlic shrimp with some of the yummy lemon sauce on top of everything.

it is a meal to please and make you smile.

H{ippity} Hop.. February week 1 challenge.

WOW.. I can't believe January is nearly over.. February starts tomorrow.. the year is already way to fast for me.. I only have a couple more weeks of being on the Ippity Dt... boy you get used to something so fast when you have been doing it for nearly 6 months. I am still having such a great time playing along with these Fabulous ladies.. I am going to miss this!!

Today I am hosting the new challenge on the Ippity Blog.. so make sure you go and check it all out. If you have been playing since the beginning of January you will know that we are doing the first week with a sketch. I made this sketch keeping it clean and simple. hope you all like it.

Here is the card I made. Using some of these great Cosmo Cricket papers Circa 1934 and some Ippity stamps from the set How you doin' and the little Ippity logo butterfly. Make sure you check out the Ippity Blog on Thursday for the How to Thursday I am going to show you how to make these fabulous Ippity Brads.

Blom Family Project Life Tuesdays..Jan. 2011

I got my photo's printed on Saturday so this is in my album now.. yippee.. love getting photo's printed, and only minutes to wait at Walmart.

So this is January 10th -16th

As usual I wanted to add more photo's of certian days so taking some file tags from my scrapbooking supplies I tabbed them and added them behind the photo of that day.

I also did some journaling either on the photo or on the back of the photo.. here are the added photo's with the file tabs.

I took every one's advice and did a collage for all the photo's I took on the Monday.

I am also doing the 52 week project photo challenge on facebook.. it is a group you can join.. this weeks challenge was to take a photo of your morning.. so I made these tags to represent the photo.

This morning it was watching Regis and Kelly.. Regis announced he is retiring after 25 years, I have been watching him for such a long time.. but he is 79. I also start my routine starting up my computer to check email and have breakfast.

I also want to use some of my stamps in my project so here for my coffee photo I stamped this image on the journaling card.. I like the personal look of it .. I think I will be inking up more often for this project.
