Unity Thursday, New ANGIEgirls, Phyllis Harris

Hello and welcome to another Unity Thursday..

Today is so special for lots of reasons..

first of all today I turn 49... holy moly.. so close to the BIG 50

but it is also my sweet (hubby) Roger's Birthday as well so lots of celebrating ..

and next week we will be celebrating 26 years of marriage August 1..  time flies!!

 

 

So having a new release of ANGIEgirls just made it 100 times better.. 

 you are going to love these girls..

 

. Meet JENgirl.. I love my teachers and we have alot of wonderful teachers

on our Unity team as well ...so this is for all my Teacher friends.. but one stands out..

my Unity team mate Jen Erickson.. gosh she is the one of funniest ,most honest. tell it like it really is person I know, and she is the best Scrappbooker out there..

 So when I made this I was totally thinking of her..

at Scrapfest.. she gave me the idea of making a Photography girl stamp..

later that week she was born.. I just love her so much.. well I love both of them..

Unity Layers of Life July

Hi everyone.. I made this beautiful canvas art yesterday using Unity's Layers of Life July kit .

Love Truly ( Through Time) 

First I painted my background yellow and added a stencil with some white paint. Then using white tissue paper

 I inked up the stamps . Using my favourite inks Lady Bug red, Bahama Blue and Tuxedo Black by Momento 

I inked and stamped on one layer of tissue paper then using mod podge to adhere it to my canvas.. Because 

It is tissue paper you can layer it on top of each other and still see the full designs. Then I let that dry and

painted my focal image on top.

Unity Thursday- introducing Stephanie Ackerman

Happy Thursday, how are you all doing..

 it is blazing HOT here in Toronto..

 around 32 degrees C but feels like 42 degrees C.. yuck!!

I hope if it is really hot for you that you have the

chance to stay cool.. glad for my AC

and my basement is nice and cool.

 

So this week I got some time to create some great projects

using one of our new Unity Artists Stephanie Ackerman..

I just love her style and I am so happy to be

using some of these great large stamps.

Unity Thursday!! Summer Daze

Time to KEEP Calm and Have a Beer.. or cold beverage of choice..

the weekend is nearly here..  the weather is warm so take some time

I decided to change up my blog header... adding one of the girls I sketched in my sketch book

months ago.. I really love her.. so I wanted to gaze at her this summer. 

 

this week I wanted to create something with the NEW releases...

I used this fun beer stamp for my card today..

I coloured it up with my copics, added some liquid pearls in white opal,

then coved the image in Tsukineko Glaz-On for that wet and refreshing look.

I love how it all turned out.. then using a Maya Road heart pin to finish it off.

Happy Friday... just wanted to share the Unity "be inspired" challenge with you today.

Using some papers from the new MME collection Kate & Co. I just love blue and green..

then adding a pop of pink to accent. loving the stamps in the different colours. I used some

wonderful coloured inks from Memento " Imagine Crafts"  love how the buttons look

like it was actually from this paper set.. but they are those awesome stamps in the Unity May KOM.

loved colouring that big wonderful flower I designed in the June KOM.. I love flowers but I love it

even more when they are this big!! I used copics to colour these in.
