Using the flower stamp from the You Deserve Ippity stamp set.. I cut out four flowers. and left one whole and added the petals of the remaining three to make the flower bigger. Colouring them with my copics. To the center I added some red beads .

It's Friday!!

Hi Everyone.. What a great day.

Today is the first day of School for Sydney.

Senior Kindergarten watch out!!

I just hope she doesn't fall asleep in class this morning.
Over the summer she has found her voice, not saying she ever lost it.. but she has her own opinions and she will let you know exactly what she is thinking.. good or bad.

I just hope her teacher Mrs. Acome will take her with a grain of salt, but I know she loves her teacher very much so I am sure she will be on her best behaviour.

Today is Friends with Flair.. and I have two cards to show you

and a project that I am working on.

oh yes.. this was one of the first 12x12 papers I made using the You Deserve stamps and the Dots for Sure background stamp.. all from Ippity. I just love the colours. the paper is a pale pink white, the copic flower is B00 and the ink I stamped with is Unity's Burnt Umber.

Happiness is knowing...

and the background stamp Giving it all Meaning.

Now here is what I am working on.. I just love the Unity Vintage Postcard background stamp . I decided to ink up these pieces of Kraft paper. the Postcard stamp is on the front and back of these pages. I used my handy dandy bind it all to make the mini and will put some summer pool photos in. Hoping to get this done this weekend and post it all finished next week. SO stay tuned.

HIP HOP!! It's Already Thursday!!

Hip Hop.. Baby it's Cold out there!!
Has this week just flown by.. or is it just me?

I swear with the holiday I am missing one day!!
It has been a very cool week here, some rain but the air is cold and you need to bundle up.

I thought for sure we would still have some summer weather for back to school, but it is Fall out there, and the leaves are starting to fall..eeekk

I was not prepared for this, my mind is still in Summer mode.

Today I am showing you another card I made ,Using the Ippity challenge theme FALL (IHHC40)

Remember all those flowers I made a couple weeks ago.. well this is one of them with a black fringe center and some clear glitter.. I love these!!

I also managed to do a layout for the Hip Hop Sketch (HHC24)

S is for Stamping

here you thought I was the only one in my family that was addicted!! You got to start them young, it is an appreciation of another kind of art!

journaling reads-

stamping is not my only obsession now.

Sydney just loves to stamp.

She is now big into having her own ink pads with a variety of colours,

She has a variety of wooden block stamps that she loves.

Once a week she gets out her pink cardstock and goes to town.

She makes cards for her friends and family , or just for fun.

I am glad she shares the love of stamping with me.

Stamping is a good thing to bond over.

Are you all Freezing , or is it just us in the North!! We have had lots of rain, sun, clouds, chilly winds.. it is feeling like Fall out there. Time to get out those sweaters and jeans. Hip Hop.. if only..

Happy Thursday Hip Hoppers!!

Hope you all are having a great day, I can't believe it is September already... what is up with that??.. time seems to be flying by so fast. I think with such a hot summer it is going to be nice for this weather to cool down a little.. This week has been so hot.. yesterday the kids and Roger were in the pool, trying to cooling off..

If it is another hot one.. I think I will be joining them today!!

This week I went to Michael's and got a great border butterfly punch by EK Success, I love those 40% off sales!!.

I just love anything with butterflies on it and this one is just fabulous.

gotta love new toys.

I used it on my layout today, with the Dots for Sure stamp.

I love taking a card sketch and making a layout. Check out the sketch below.

Here are some of the details up close.. this is the little butterfly pieces left over once you have punched the border.. amazing ! I know this punch will be used a lot. Don't you think it looks great with the Dots for Sure stamp too.

A little about the layout, these were photo's taken of Sydney at a baseball game 2 weeks ago.. I love getting close up shots of her fooling around and I just love looking at those big brown eyes. The"if only" stamp was perfect for what I wanted to say on my layout.

She is growing up way to fast for me.

So if you are in the mood for trying any of the sketches on a layout, go for it.. the challenge is always for both. It is always great to have these sketch's on hand. Instant inspiration!

H{ippity} HOP Hopping.. Back to School

H{ippity} HOP.. Monday
This weekend we were watching Blue's Clues and to my surprise.. Steve mentioned something about having a Hippity Hop Hopping time.. hahaha... I laughed out loud.. cause, he said Hippity HOp!!

Yes, these things amuse me... but I am sure I have watched this video several times and never caught on. I am slow..hehe

It is Monday , one week away from the kids going back to school. Grade 10 and Senior Kindergarten.. Well, both kids don't want to go back yet.. only us Adults think this is a good idea. I do love having them home but I need some me time to get some things done. Really I just want a clean house for more than 10 minutes.

And, speaking about back to school.. we have this weeks challenge by Kelly.. and it is about

BACK TO SCHOOL

So lets see some cards or layouts about Back to School.. you can find the challenge here in the Ippity Forum.

I did this card using some Cosmo Cricket papers from the Boyfriend set.
I also used some Ippity stamps from the Authentic Man ,Book It, and Quotes A'La Happy..

This weekend I also ran out of flowers so I made a whole lot of these..

Spiral Rosette Flowers.

With the help from my kiddos.. we managed to make about 60 of them..all different colours and sizes.. pretty don't you think, I also sprinkled some of them with glitter. They will be used for some upcoming projects. I need to make some different flowers this coming weekend.. just to have them handy to place on a card or layout.

I just love paper flowers.
